Teething puppies can be a handful. Buy some raw hides for him. My dog especially likes pig ears. Any sort of braided raw hide is also great because they take longer to eat. Another good bone seems to be the Nyla edible bones. Always keep pleanty of chew bones and toys on hand otherwise he will keep chewing on your barbies. They also make a lot of small chew toys for small dogs.

The best way to cure that is give the dog a bone to chew on because he is in the puppy stage, and put a little red pepper on where he is chewing and make sure he has a lot of water, he will get the taste of it, and now want to chew on it! My vet says it works great!

Everybody gave great answers, so I will add only one thing. Go to the pet store and buy a bottle of bitter apple and spray it on the stuff he is chewing. Tell your kids to put away their barbies, they are not good chew toys. Anything chewable should be out of reach!

I had a Shih Tzu, he was lovely but when he was teething he did chew so if you get four or more hide bones, say one for each room in your house so that when he takes the fancy to chew he has his bone ready he will get to know what’s his and what’s not, clever little dogs you know.(chew bones the ones made from hide, not real bone )

He obviously needs better things to chew on - give him a variety of chewsticks in different flavors to satisfy his urge to chew. He's still a baby, and babies teethe - give him lots of acceptable alternatives. You may have to spray the corners of your bed with something to deter him from going after that, and keep the toys picked up so he can't get at them.

Make sure the house is puppy-proofed: toys, shoes, remotes, etc. out of the pup's reach.
Crate or confine the dog to a small room when you are not able to supervise him.
Make sure he has at least one chew toy in every room. If you see him chewing on something he shouldn't, take it from him and give him one of his toys. Praise him when he chews on his toys; give him a small treat from time to time, too, so that he will seek out his toys instead of your things.

he is cutting his adult teeth probably, get some spray, called bitter apple spray, and spray it on the things you don't want him chewing on. it is perfectly safe, and made to stop pets from chewing on furniture and other stuff.
Should be able to find it at petco, or a petsmart, or any online pet supplier.

You need to catch him in the act and then give him a bone, dont yell at him when you catch him just redirect his attention to the bone or toy or treat or whatever. This will make him replace the negitive behavior with positive behavior.
