Am getting a chiweenie in november, and was hoping to know a little about them before a get it:)

They are absolutely wonderful dogs! We found ours outside a restaurant. After weeks of searching for an owner, we decided to keep her. She is very loving, and extremely energetic. She loves everyone she meets. One thing though, and I've heard this from other chiweenie owners, they are escape artists. Mine personally loves to go on adventures. So good luck and congrats, you are getting a great dog!

Well, they're very cute, They have the tenacity of the dachsund- which was bred to hunt weasels (I think) and the lovingness of the chihuahua. Crate training your puppy will help with the destructive chewing. Research both breeds and hope for the best. Good luck- you're getting a great dog.

It's a mixed breed - a mutt, a mongrel.
Attitude, prone to excessive weight gain, not the greatest with children. There are much better mixed breeds out there that come from the animal shelter, rescue, ASPCA, etc that were not intentionally bred between two 'pure breeds' to make this so called 'exotic' dog that a back yard breed will make hundreds of $$ from.
I don't support BYB and breeding two different breeds to come up with a new *exotic*rare*new* breed. BYB need to be shut down and never allowed to have pets - they are HUGE contributors to the pounds over-flowing with pets that are being euthanized every day.

Like some of the other answers said, this is not a breed. It's merely greedy people taking advantage of you..Please research both breeds to see if they are even really what you want..Of course, since this is a mutt, there's no way for you to know what you are getting. I have nothing against mutts, I love them and own one, but why don't you rescue one instead of supporting these people? Try this:http://www.petfinder.com/

THERE IS NO SUCH BREED
Someone breed something of one breed to something of anther breed and made up a name.
If the seller tells you that is a breed they are a LIAR
It is called a mutt - a mongrel - a mixed breed dog.
Fgure out what went into what ever this is and read about those beeds.
