Hi , i got a new puppy : ) i was soo happy, because i wanted one for so long. She was so cute a fluffy, and still is adorable. When she was 5 months she got out of the house and got hit by a car right infront of me. I was sooo sad, and scared i thought she was dead !! We took her to the vets and she was in there for a couple days they said she damages some nerves. And she would never get the feeling back in her leg. It would have to be amputated. She is almost a year old now but we still havn't got it amputated but the legaments like shrunk so its not dragging anymore. When she was hit by a car she went rolling down the road. The vet said she didn't have brain damage but shes agressive now. Shes snapped twice at my babysister she one year old. And my mom said if she bites her. My dogs gone : ( I really dont want my dog to go what should i do? Is there anything i can do? Thankz

I have a jack russell/beagle that i just adopted, he was from a litter of 3 and is very scaredfrom being in the shelter, i dont want him to be afraid of my cocker spaniel that i just got. she is 1 and he is 3 months. does anyone have any ideas about how to introduce them? i pick him up from being neutered tomorrow!

Another thing my cocker is good with other dogs and other animals, we got the jack/beagle as a companion for her so she has someone to play with and keep her company, any suggestions?

she just seems a little skinny to be. We got her 3 days ago and since then have treated her for roundworms/hookworms since the breeder said she had them previously. Any ideas to fatten my baby up a little. We are feeding science diet puppy dry and wet 3 times a day.

I got an 8 weeks mini pinscher puppy. But i live on the third floor so i tried to go outside after she ate or drinked. But she can't hold it. So we got her a cat toilette because she is so little. When she wakes up we put her in there and she pies. But after she ate she just sits in there and looks at me. Then she just runs around but we don't always catch her doing something. I heard about stuff like dumping her nose in **** but i don't agree with that kind of stuff. Can somebody give me some good advice?

We got a Doberman puppy (5 mos old) from what we believed was a "Reputable and responsible" breeder who professes to "specialize in Dobermans for first time owners." It was a BIG deal to pay her $4,400 for our dog. He was $3,000 plus $1,400 for training that meant he never jumped on our furniture or people, and didn't chew anything other than his toys or bone. After MANY phone conversations & e-mails, I surprised my husband (who REALLY wanted THIS dog as he was described to him) and bought him. He's a mess! We've paid trainers (former Westminster judges) & vets tell us that we've been had! His temperament was sold as "IDEAL companion & STRONG candidate for protection training." He's been described as "autistic." EXTREMELY afraid of people & now spent well over $2,000 on tests, Rx's & foods since he's had diarrhea from Day 1. We love him & it's just two of us in a very calm environment. We have NEVER yelled at or hit him, yet he's so fearful it's sad. What should we do? Thank you!

I have a blue pit bull puppy, although he's active, playful, etc...he still looks like a baby pit bull (he looks normal though)...I'm saying this because I had a red nose pit bull about less then a month ago, and when my red nose was 8 weeks old, he looked a little more bigger and grown.

She thought I was going to play with her and she took off running and wouldn't stop. She was almost in the road until I yelled at her. Finally she layed on the ground and then I got her. Just thank god a car wasent coming or she would of got ran over.

He just started going to doggy day-care. He is used to being only on grass or in the house. I want to keep him in day-care but he seems to be walking a little gingerly at night and licks his paws alot. I called my vet and he said that the gravel shouldn't be causing the problem. But I really can't figure out what else it could be. Hopefully someone else has had a similiar experience and could give me some insight on what to do.

She's about 5 years old and has always been a real active little girl. Then day before yesterday she was real cold when I woke up. When I got to the vet said her temp was 95.5 and their was alot blood in her stool. The vet suggested he run about $200 worth of tests (to be paid up front). He ended up sending Missy and me home with a bag of warm fluids and a couple pills to help heal her bleeding bowel. She eating a little and drinking some water, but she has no balance and falls over while she's peeing. To make matters worse new symptoms have appeared today. There's some strange purple bruising on her chest and the 3rd eyelid of her left eye is badly swollen. Anyone have any ideas that might help me heal my little girl?

I recently adopted a 3 year old male border collie. He is very sweet, but very timid and shy. When he meets someone new he partically lays down and crawls over the the person. When he feels a little more comfortable he hugs the person. Other times he wraps he front paws around the person's leg. We have tried toys (plush, balls, ropes) and he doesn't pay to much attention to them. We have given him pig ears before and he likes those. We also try and take him out for at least 30 mintues to and hour and a half each day. If we take him out for just 30 mintues we usually play with him inside, but if he are playing and something makes a noice he runs and hides in the closet. Even when out side he will go to the bathroom, but as soon as he is done he wants to go back inside. He has peeped and pooped in the house which that isn't so much as the problem. It is the destructiveness of the walls and blinds while we are at home and when we are not.

If a mix between a labordor and a poodle gives you a labroodle. Then would a cross between a bull dog, and a shiatsu give you bull $hit?

my standard poodle, charlie, is very picky with his food. we feed him Wellness, which is a great diet, but he won't eat it except for just taking a few bites. We have tried switching his food and he only seems to want human food. He is getting so skinny that it's scary. What do you suggest as a good, hearty food that is healthy for standard poodles? Thanks!
