I have a 4 year old Alaskan malamute. Obviously, she has all her adult teeth, but some of them don't look like they have grown in completely. The teeth next to her bottom "fangs" are small and are not at the same level as her other teeth. Also, her teeth in the back just erupted a few weeks ago and she is starting to chew a lot on sticks, and rubbery toys. I heard that dogs don't get wisdom teeth, but what is going on?

My boyfriend's dog is four years old. We are moving in together and I would like the dog to be allowed in the house. Unfortunately, our future roommates have a house cat. The dog has never been socialized, doesn't like other dogs and tries to get cats when we go for walks. He is a nice dog, extremely cute and great with children. He just wasn't socialized/trained to get along with other animals. Has anybody had this experience? Have you been successful introducing an older dog to other animals, especially a cat, and having them become friends, or at least, not kill each other? Let me know if you have and what you did to accomplish it. Thanks.

If it matters, he's an American Eskimo dog and weighs about 24 pounds.

I have noticed recently that my black lab has developed a "black spot" on her butt. I keep meaning to call her vet but time gets away from us. Does anyone know or had experience as to what this "spot" may be? Is it dangerous? It does not really seem to bother her any, but we would rather be safe than sorry.

I wrote "supper" on a piece of paper since the dog always picks up scraps of paper and brings them to one of us. I gave it to her and told her to take it to Daddy but she kept dropping it and by the time I got upstairs to show her what to do I might as well have told him myself.

A friend has a 9 yr old lab/retriever & just recently started having problems. He suddenly began going to the bathroom in the house, scooching on floor & tho he usually lays down all the time and sleeps, he cant seem to lay down no matter how much she tells him to.Also, he knows not to be on couch and 2 times already in past coupe days, she tells him to go lay down & he goes & gets on the couch.

he usually wags his tail, but doesnt come up anymore. His butt seems a little red, but no serious irritation.
Any ideas what the problem could be? She's at wits end.

Luigi is 9 months cocker spaniel that pees everytime he gets excited. For example, When i go to say hello to him in the morning i have to take him inmediately outside, otherwise he would pee on the carpet. Also, when my brother comes to the house he gets so happy that he pees all over the place, when he meets new people he pees, when people pet him he pees. Even though other cocker spaniel owners have told me the same happens with their pets, should not luigi be over the peeing issue by now, is not like he is a baby anymore. Any advice?
