I wrote "supper" on a piece of paper since the dog always picks up scraps of paper and brings them to one of us. I gave it to her and told her to take it to Daddy but she kept dropping it and by the time I got upstairs to show her what to do I might as well have told him myself.

Try having your husband "co operate" in teaching her this. He can call her when it's time to take him the note. After a few days,(with lots of praise of course!) she should get it!
Good luck!
We had a black Lab that would do this, and everything you'd tell her to do.

One of mine is really daddy's girl. When he would come home from work, she'd go bonkers. I'd tell her "Daddy's home". Sometimes, I'd ask her "Where's your Daddy?". She'd then get all excited and look for him. Now, if I say "Go get your Daddy", she does. She was always his to start with.

Start teaching her to know where " Daddy" is at that time. It will help her learn how to take it to 'Daddy".

i think it depends on the dog. mine are known for going to get somebody. the problem is that it usually aggravates the person that the dog is trying to get.

one of mine will go fetch the person and ends up taking their arm in his mouth and dragging them along. he tends to scare people that way. he is a pit bull.

one will bark at you until you go see what they want. that includes taking you to the person that yelled for you or to the food bowl in case its empty.
