Well.. to state the obvious.. you dont

You take the bugger to the vet.. if its casted improperly there can be devistating problems later that will in the end cost your MUCH MUCH more than a simple cast now.

No way around it..

The vet can do it. I had a couple of small chihuahua pups that hurt their legs by falling off the couch. Not broken, so they did not need a cast, but both had to have a splint. A cast can be done just as easily as a splint.

A magazine can be sorta rolled around the leg & taped for a TEMPARAY splint just to hold the leg till you can get to the vet.

GO TO A VET - if it needs a cast, than it needs a vet!

If one is a veterinarian, it's a snap! It's the years of training thing...
Not the sort of thing you'd really want to try if you weren't, however.

Don't even think about it! Your pet won't thank you.
