My friend's dog, a 2 yr old Boston, is constantly throwing up. He is allergic to pretty much every brand of dog food (allergies to corn, starch, wheat ect...) since day one he's been throwing up 2 times a day. Mostly after eating. He was on steroids for his allergies but isnt' anymore. Nothing can be diagnosed. The vet's are at a standstill as to what his problem is. He has ulcers, allergies but yet... nothing has worked - different foods, pills ect.
The dog 'seems' happy, he doesnt seem to be in pain... I know it's hard to tell, he's a dog he can't say for sure if he is in pain or not... but you can tell when a dog's not 'himself'...
any advice, suggestions, comments, theories ?!?!!!???

She is 3 years old and gets 2 walks a day, eats good food and has plenty of play time. I like to think she has a balanced life.
However I have recently moved house and now spend about an hour and a half longer commuting per day.
She has been excellent in the new house, has not wee'd or poo'd at all, but out of boredom, loneliness, or trying to hold her wee in. She is beginning to try to destroy things.

Please don't tell me it is unfair to be out of the house for 10 hours per day. I know this already and feel extremely guilty. I make up for it as much as possible and I beleive she is still a happy dog. She gets more excersise than ever as we now live in the countryside.

Any serious suggestions of something that could keep her entertained? Except buy another dog.

He looks like a benji dog, if you've ever seen the movie Benji. He's a salt and pepper color. I found him a long time ago under my car in the dead of winter. He's getting over his illness and i will need some medicine. But I need to know what breed he is. Anyone know?

My whole house smells! The windows were open and now I can't tell if it is just in my nose or what. Do groomers take dogs who have been sprayed? I can't imagine putting tomato juice in my old clawfoot tub-it will stain it forever.

i have a mini poodle, that hears the front gate to my yard open, and races to door barking. one day was running to door, farted, stoped in his tracks and was looking at butt, like what was that. always makes me lmao. love him very much.

ok first off i love dogs... i have a dog myself but my roommate has a dog and i can't stand it... i know its not the dos fault for its behavior the owner has a lot to do with how the animal is trained but my roommate leaves her dog home with me all the time and i want nothing to do with the dog since she got the dog with out even asking me first so when she leaves i put the dog in her room... i got the dog a kennel but for some reason my roommate got rid of the kennel... the dog sits in her room for hours apon hours... and its not potty trained and thats the reason i put it in her room cause when i leave it out it pees and poops all over the house and i refuse to pick up after the dog... can the humain society do anything if the dog is neglected and what is considered neglect? i serisouly can't handle this dog any more and its driving m crazy, i had to send my puppy to go live with my parents because the other dog was so mean to her and was so much bigger than her

Can you tell if your dog is happy or not and i dont mean by its tail wagging just by the way they are. I absolutley love my dogs and i treat them so good more or less spoil them -cant help that tho i just love them to bits! I even once said to my partner when i die i would like to come back as a dog kept by an owner like me to see what its like and to see if they like the way i treated them. That sounds a bit weird now that i've written that down! I suppose everyone has a weird question and this looks like its mine.

whats being said between them? its like the magpies rule the roost sometimes and the dogs show respect or something - they look but they dont flush (and wont be persuaded either). But why sometimes and not others? the dogs mood doesnt appear to be a factor in it at all. There is communication going on but it baffles me what its all about! (and I consider myself pretty fluent in "dog" and animal languages!) Any behaviourists out there that can shine light on this for me? cheers

He had a terrible childhood. His owner basically fed him food that he didnt eat and he is very skinny unlike most of his breed. But, in the past two weeks that he's with me he has grown to be very fond of me and i treat him well and feed him the right food (soft dog food which he emties it whenever its given). But then, he doesnt want to sleep in his bed that i brought him. I put a fench so he can stay put but tries every conniving way to get over the fench and unto my work place. At night, if i dont take him to bed with me, he will moan and cry all night. Should i discipline him or is he just a loving dog. He is a bichon frise.

I notice that my dog has a lump on her breast and I found out that it was a mammary tumor. The problem is that I dont have the $600+ dollars to pay for her surgery, is there a place where they offer low cost for surgery in the (Los Angeles area)? I really can't afford it and I dont want to my dog to suffer, any suggestions?

My doggy has cataract and I have tried various types of eye lotion. Nothing seem to help. So if operation can help I may have to send him for one. So anyone have similar experiences with good results, please advise.

I notice that this can be a debatable topic and I was just curious to know the thoughts and views of others around the world, instead of just here in my small town. Many think it can be wrong, what do you think and have you ever had to take an animal to a shelter?
