She may be taking in too much air with her water.. You can give her water from a bundt cake pan, or tun a bowl upside down in her bowl, to form a dome in the middle...that slows down the action off lapping, and will usually help..
If she seems fine otherwise, she is likely just drinking water too fast and swallowing air..

Well, I'm not a vet, and haven't checked your dog out, but I "can" tell you what I know. When my dog does this, it's usually because she's drinking her water too fast. She has done this off and on for 4 years now, so you probably don't have anything to worry about. But if she has any other symptoms, I would take her in to her vet just to ease your mind, okay? good luck.

She is drinking too fast, swallowing air and regurtitating, she has breathing problems, or she has tapeworms, which have pupae that lodge in the lungs, and hence, when water passes, they choke.
Take her to a vet if you are truly worried. At least worm her to see if that is the cause.
Good luck!

MY DOG DID THAT FOR A FEW YEARS
It was just one of those things, but he did grow out of it. It was because he would drink too fast. Still does it occasionally, but he has learnt.
If you are really worried, see a vet

Sounds like a weak stomach. Is she vomiting food also? The vet is the best bet. Do not dispense any medicine unless directed by a vet.

Sometimes megasophagus can be a problem. But she would vomit food too. Sometimes dogs gulp their food too quick and vomit too. Their could be a lot of reasons. Look for patterns and if it continues see your vet.

Maybe you could have her checked out by your vet?
Maybe she just likes to play with water?

Maybe it is trying to swallow to much at one time. When they do, it causes them to swallow air. So when they try to swallow the water, they hick-up causing the water to flow back out off their mouth.
