He's the smaller brown dog, and he's about 4-5 months old in the pictures.

Well, right now he's 11 months old, 18" and 40 lbs. To me, that seems a little small for a shar pei/lab mix. Alsom shar peis have black tongues, and my dogs is solid pink. Wouldn't a dog mixed with a shar pei have at least some black spots?

The reason I though APBT is because I found a few pics of these APBT's:

Well, the pictures are from when he was a puppy, so he was a bit of a chunk. I'll try to find some newer pictures to post.

Shar Pei's range from about 45- 60 pounds labs 65 to 80 pounds; females 55 to 70 pounds. And he isn't done growing/filling out yet, he could just get the size from the shar pei side.

Based on the pics, from what I can see of the jaw line and structure, I wouldn't think its a APBT mix...

Definately looks like a shar-pei mix. I don't know about APBT, it could be mixed with that, but it could be a lot of other things to (lab mix, shep mix, etc). Shar-Pei's are acutlly well built dogs, so that type of frame doesn't necessarily mean APBT
