Yes, it is possible.. Many dogs come in at 6 months, and some small dogs even sooner..Just look at this search topic, and you will see that 6 months is normal..so 5 1/2 would just be 2 weeks earlier.

It is also more than time to get her spayed.

From the made up name, it is apparent that she is a cross-bred, mixed breed - or what is called a mutt.

No point in not spaying since

(1) the world does not need more mixed breed mongrels - thousands upon thousands need homes and are killed in shleter

(2) it will prevent uterine and ovarian cancer - one of the leading causes of dath in unspayed females

dogs can get pregnant at 6 months, it is rare, but it does happen.
