My doggy has cataract and I have tried various types of eye lotion. Nothing seem to help. So if operation can help I may have to send him for one. So anyone have similar experiences with good results, please advise.

Ask your vet for a referral..Many of the surgeon's travel to several towns, and are in different areas each day..Your vet will know who is nearest you..Here is a good informational site with a video of the procedure..turn your sound down, as it has a musical background> http://www.veterinaryvision.com/public_forum/Cataract.htm

Lotions aren't that helpful

The cataract surgery does work but PLEASE take your dog to a board-certified veterinary opthamologist.

Contact the school of veterinary medicine nearest to you - it will be at a university. They will have someone on staff.
