If a puppy bites another puppy in the litter too hard they will let out a squeal.
If you and all the members of the family do the same (quite high pitched), the puppy will stop immediately and look at you.
If they continue more than twice, remove yourself or the puppy from the situation.
Once it learns it doesn't get attention this way, it will soon stop.
If at any point your puppy has ' a funny five minutes', running around like a mad thing and starting to bite hands etc (this is normal when young!), remove the puppy from the room, or to it's crate or puppy pen, for at least 5 minutes to calm down.

Hitting a puppy even lightly on the nose, could result in the puppy fearing your hand. This is the very LAST thing you want!

Work with the puppy's natural behaviour to get the best results.

Best of luck.

Basic Training of the Puppy - Read here https://tr.im/6ljiI

The new puppy is certainly one of the most adorable and cuddly creatures that has ever been created. It is the most natural thing in the world to shower it with love and affection. However, at the same time it is important to realize that if you want to have a well trained adult dog, you need to begin the training process right away. The dog, like its related ancestor, the wolf, is a pack animal. One of the features of a pack is that it has a single dominant leader. Your new puppy is going to want that leader to be you, but if you do not assume that role from the very beginning, the puppy’s instincts will push him to become the leader.

The most important thing to remember about training the puppy during its first six months of life is that it must see you as the leader of the family pack. The essential thing is gaining the trust and the respect of the puppy from the beginning. You will not do this by allowing the puppy to do whatever it wants to do whenever it wants to do it. On the other hand, a certain amount of patience is required. Most people err in their early training by going to extremes one way or the other. Although you need to begin the basic training process at once, you can not expect your dog to do too much at first. Basic obedience training is fine and should include simple commands like sit, stay, and come. Remember that trying to teach the dog advanced obedience techniques when it is a puppy is much like trying to teach a five year old child algebra.

It is also important to restrain from cruel or abusive treatment of the puppy. You can not beat obedience into your dog, and it certainly is not going to engender feeling of respect and trust. House breaking is an area where this usually becomes a problem because of the anger that is triggered when the puppy fails and creates a mess inside the home. Although this issue must be addressed without anger, it most be addressed. If you allow the puppy to eliminate inside the house, it will continue to do so as an adult dog. The same thing is true of other destructive or dangerous behavior such as chewing and biting. Do not expect the puppy to grow out of it. You are going to need to train the puppy out of it, but you should do so firmly but with a sense of play and fun using positive reinforcement and lots of love and praise for good behavior.

Don't worry - all puppies do this. It because using their mouths is a big way to communicate for dogs and just like a human toddler who sticks everything in its mouth to explore it, puppies love to chew everything.
Just tell him/her NO! very firmly and remove yourself. Your puppy will soon pick up the message. To make sure that your pup does know where he is allowed to chew - as this is a natural behaviour - give him an allowed chewy thing instead.
Always stop your pup from making any contact with your skin with his mouth and teeth, even if it is gentle - what is known as 'mouthing'. This i sbecause it could lead to problems later when your pup's jaws get stronger and if it plays or interacts with children.
Be persistant and consistant and your pup will soon stop chewing your hands!

Puppies bite and chew on each other - that is how dogs and puppies play with each other.

You have to DO something about it.

When he nips at you, roar NO in a deep voice, grab him by the collar or back of the neck, push him down and hold him on the ground and as you are doing that and snap your fingers on the end of his nose or slap his nose with your fingers. WHile youo pin him down and get his nose, lean over him and keep saying BAD BAD BAD - do NOT let your voice slide up, make it deep.

In a group of dogs, if he nipped the leader, they would knock him over, grab the skin on his neck or the side of his face and pinch it without breaking the skin, and growl.

So do what they would do. That is something a dog understands instinctively - born preprogrammed to get that message. Lot of theoreis out there abou yelping in pain and pushing him away or (really dumb) spraying him with water - but your puppy didn't read those books!

Get after him about EVERY SINGLE TIME - you must be 100% consistent.

Since pups need to chew - teething - get him something to chew on. Raw carrots are very good and they generally love it. Just wash it off after taking it out of the bag. Real meat bones - called soup bones - are also good just boil them before you give them to him.

What I did was put lemon juice on my hands everytime I played with my dog. My dog eventually grew out of it. Like human babies, puppies also explore things with their mouths.

tell it no with authority, and give it a light tap on the nose. it is your puppys way of playing. so substitute with a ball and through it so it will fetch and retrieve. puppys need interaction to help them burn energy and you must establish dominance with it. it will be a great dog.
