6 weeks. Just make sure that you get the small bite size stuff. I recommend Eukanuba highly. It's more expensive by the pound, but they eat less of it b/c they get the nutrition that they need in less food, so they poop less. :D

I have all of my show dogs on Eukanuba and they all love it.

Pups start weaning at 3 weeks onto semi solids. At about 4 weeks you can start to introduce dry foods softened with water. Many manufacturers recommend moistening dry food with a little water until a pup is about 10 weeks as their digestive system is still very new.
However from 7 weeks there is no problem with feeding your pups dry food entirely.

All dogs age/mature at different ages, just put out some dry food next to the other food you've been feeding him/her. When your pup is ready for it, he'll go for it.
You probably already do this, but give him/her fresh water next to their feeding bowl. Because he/she is so young, feed and water them twice a day. When your pup gets older you can go once a day on the food. I always make sure my dog has fresh water. In the summer when it is hot, I still give him fresh water twice a day, even though he is an older dog.
What's your pup's name?

you can give your pup dry feed as soon as you bring him or her home. If your dog had the puppy I would say at about 4-6 week. When they open their eyes and start wandering around they can eat dry dog food. Just make sure it is puppy formula.

Hi Simon
Anything form 6/8 weeks. They best dryed food it CLINIVET. That has all you dog will ever need, and you don't need to mix it with tinned food(hate tinned food). Ask you vet and i bet they give you the same name, they start on the puppy one 1st. Good Luck with you new puppies

usually at about 5 to 6 weeks, the mother will let you know, when the pups start getting teeth, she will not nurse as often, start with soft foods or milk for puppies, potted meat, or things like gravy train for puppies.

6 weeks soaked with water, 8 weeks small kibble and graduate to larger kibble if you have a larger dog. Some dogs will get spoiled on wet food, avid this as a main food, as it does not promote healthy teeth.
