We have a Newfoundland who walks funny. He lifts his left front foot much higher than his right foot when he walks. Quite a big difference it is. Is he a South Paw?

I currently have an 9 month old GSD and I was wondering at what age I can bring him down to one meal a day. I've been feeding him twice a day for the last couple months but my job is about to switch to 12 on 12 off. I'm a medical resident and now work a long schedule and don't want to feed him in the morning and leave him locked up with the chance of an accident. My fiance can let him out after about 7-8 hours because she gets home from work at that time. Please, no advice about how good or bad it can be to have them hold it in. I'm asking at what age can they begin to eat once a day. Any advice and information is much appreciated. Thanks for the time.

I've been taking my pregnant mini dachshund's temp for over a week now, and it's been 98 degrees for the last two days before last night. At bedtime last night it was 99.9 and today it's been in the 99's. Today is her 63rd day so she is due.
I've heard that a dog's temp will decrease for a few days in the 98 range, then right before she delivers, it will rise a degree or two, then go back down again. Is this true and if so, can anyone tell me how much longer until she goes into labor? She's been having a dishcarge for over a week now, and nesting.

Thanks to ALL!!}}

I've been trying to adopt her from the pound, but first she had kennel cough, and then last Friday she was diagnosed with pnemonia. They said she is on meds and in isolation until the time is up and they will call me, but they won't tell me how long.

I have a 7 year old choc. male and a 5 year old black female lab. Not once have we been able to get her to take him with out my husband or I getting in the middle! On time she attached him so bad that one of his ears had to be half way removed (she is a loving dog any other time, and is only mean to him). We have even used a musle. Some one told my husband (the female dpg is really close with him) said that she probaly sees him (my husband) as a mate and not our male dog. That just sounded crazy to me, but jsut wanted to get some other oppions.

AS THE SCORCHING HOT SUMMER COMES TO AN END, 100 DOGS ACROSS THE U.S.A. HAVE DIED OF HEAT EXAUSTION AS A RESULT OF BEING LEFT IN THE CAR. LEAVING THE WINDOW OPEN A CRACK DOES NOT PROVIDE SUFFICENT COOLING FOR YOUR PET WHILE THEY SIT AND BAKE IN THE SUN . PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE ANY PET IN THE CAR WHILE YOU DO YOUR THING. EVER.
