frankly, I'm just not much of a dog person. why would anyone want some sort of overgrown rodent running around their house and on the street? and the noise? yap yap yap, bark bark bark. seems like every few hours, this thing has to make a huge racket. I would be doing the whole street a favor!

So if I "accidentally" (hehe!) ran over the dog, what's the worst my neighbor could do to me??

My roommate and I love animals, but she doesnt' want to get a dog because we live in an apartment on the third floor. My former rommate got a dog and didn't potty train her so our apt. always smelled like pee. My current roommate thinks the same thing will happen in our place, so how can I convince her that it won't? I want a dog soooo bad but I don't want to cause any friction by bringing one home without her consent. Our lease isn't up until next June, so I can't move out right now and frankly I dont want to (too much money). What should I do?

She has no fleas, just really itchy and she is getting scabs form itching herself. Mostly on her back above her tail and a little on her belly. I do not want to use any chemicals. Thank You!

They are on a holistic diet with no grain. So I know it is not corn or anything like that.

I asked a question about commercial dog food killing my dog and now I want to either make my puppy's food (he is a puppy a year Sept 12) or buy the natural human grade quality food for him. Where would I find that? Also how do I make his food what are the ingredients and portions or measurements?

I'm thinking of this problem for my future puppy, and I was wondering how is the best way to take care of your puppy if you have to work (I'd prefer not to leave them in doggy day cares)

Big dogs or little dogs. I have one of both (a 200lb male English Mastiff and a 14 lb Pug), but I'm curious where people are with whole big or little thought!!

Why do so many people not understand that the human race is divided into classes like breeds of dogs are? Some are just better looking and smarter then others. Do you disagree?

Apparently, the previous owners of our house allowed their very large dog to stay out in the screened porch and he created a potty place in the wood, or so it smells like it during warm months. I don't seem to smell it in cold months and I've tried washing the floor with clorox and water, spraying fumigants, etc. I am looking for a product called Odoban, but still not sure that would do. Has anyone found something that definitely works? I hate to take guests to my nice porch.

I got an email saying it is. Now I am worried. I don't have the money to buy the book they wanted me too but is it true? I will make his food if it is or are there foods that don't use euthanized animals

I am thinking about getting a dog, but I work 8 hours a day (7a-3p, M-F)... Would a dog be okay for 8 hours alone or is that awful to do? I don't know if they can go 8 hours without going out to use the bathroom... I know my bosses wouldn't really care if I brought my dog to work, but I really don't want to be THAT person, you know. Anyone else have this problem?

i have never had a problem with ticks, found a few on my pug. new neighbors and they have dogs, i'm guessing that's the problem. my pug is an inside dog except for the normal playing and peeing outside. i'm worried because he sleeps with me and and all of the surroundings in the house. is there an immediate killer i can put on him to kill them now, then to treat my house then the yard. thanks

I've been looking at them for a while now and I want to make sure that they are worth the price that you have to pay. Many I've seen are around $1500-$2500. Are they easy to potty train? Are they good with kids?

The pup was saved from the shelter (hooray for Mark) and is 6 months old. It has a yellow continual discharge from both eyes and we are hoping to find an affordable or home remedy since even the cost of feeding the dog is almost beyond his means. He is attempting to train the dog as a companion dog and wonders if anyone might know where he can find assistance with funding for the assistance with training, and possible upkeep as he is disabled and additional income is not likely. I don't know much about grants but was wondering if there are grants for such things? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
