frankly, I'm just not much of a dog person. why would anyone want some sort of overgrown rodent running around their house and on the street? and the noise? yap yap yap, bark bark bark. seems like every few hours, this thing has to make a huge racket. I would be doing the whole street a favor!
So if I "accidentally" (hehe!) ran over the dog, what's the worst my neighbor could do to me??

Actually, your neighbor could sue- especially considering you're dimwitted enough to post this on YAHOO ANSWERS, the internet- something global.
If anyone you know were to find out you typed this on here, you could actually face time in jail for animal cruelty and a huge fine- not including the neighbor probably sueing you over pain and suffering from the loss of their dog.
If the dog is loose around the street, you can simply tell the neighbor you'll call animal control if they dont contain their pet, as all animals (in the United States) must be contained on a leash unless where prohibited.
As for the noise of barking, if the dog is barking for anything, that too can be solved by once warning the neighbor that you'll call the police for disturbing the peace.
Killing the dog is NOT the logical thing to do as you already know, besides- I've heard dogs have the mind of a two year old, would you kill a two year old? Nevermind, dont answer that....

here's what can happen to you.... You can end up on judge judy and have her cuss you out and then sentence you to hard labour in a dog kennel or other humane facility. Or the ASPCA or what ever animal protection organization can come arrest your ***, (yes they can do that) drag you to court and you can go to jail and become very familier with your huge hairy sweaty smelly undersexed cell mate. At which point you will be the only ***** that you would wanna kill. And even if they just lock you up for 4 months that will be long enough for you to have serious problems drinking soup. So leave yuh neighbour's @#%$ing dog alone.

I wouldn't do that. That's a pretty nasty thing to do. Whether you like dogs or not, that's still a living creature. If the barking is bothering you, complain to Animal Control. The people will have to pay a fine and eventually the dog will get taken away if they don't curb the barking. That's better than running it over.

I think that the Idea of running over your neighbors pet is horrible. How would you like to have your neighbor run over something that you care about. You could go to jail for animal abuse if it was found out you did it on purpose.
Why dont you try talking to your neighbor. or PUT IN A COMPLAINT WITH THE ANIMAL CONTROL, enough complaints the neighbor will get fined for their animal. and possabley have the animal removed.

Well you are showing your ignorance, let me enlighten you. first an dog is not a rodent it is a mamal just as you are a mamal. you dont have to look very far to find stories of dogs rescuing their owners if a fire starts in the house or a burglar breaks in, so I am thinking maybe the neighbor should run over you because you are clearly an idiot!

I am saving this post, and if I see that a dog has been accidentally run over I will send this to the owner (hehe!), so that he can prosecute you. It is people like you that make me like dogs better then most people.

Probably the worst thing that your neighbor could do to you would be "kill" you for "accidentally" running over his dog.
He could sue you for the dogs value - and if there was any evidence that you did it intentionally, he could get the authorities involved... You hear about it sometimes.. "Felony Cruelty to Animals."
But seriously, the real problem is if you are really considering it.
People that are mean to animals are usually "messed up"... People that "Kill" animals are "F!d up".
You are probably just joking, and to write it down here is "theraputic" for you. Good for you.

It would be a much better solution to call the police and issue the person a noise citation.

For one, dogs aren't rodents at all, you must not be very intelligent...maybe try reading someday??? If you run over their dog you are not only hurting the dog but also the people- I hope someone runs over you!!! I sure would love to!!!

To answer your question without judgement- In some states, like mine (TX), it is a felony to abuse or kill dogs or other animals. I would check it out before going to kill it with the car. You should try poisen instead, less of a mess, and they wont be able to tell who gave it to him. Anyway.... there are better answers to killing it tho. Seriously hope you dont.
