Its been 2 weeks since my dogs been in heat, She's still bleeding.....Does she bleed for the full 3 weeks? And when & will her vulva ever look normal again? Its still very swollen.

The heat cycle lasts for about one month. The swelling of her vulva will reduce, but it won't be the size it was before she went into heat. And, with every heat, it will continue to get bigger and bigger - ugh! Get her spayed!

A dogs heat cycle can last up to 4 weeks, although not common it can happen, and when she comes out of her heat cycle the swelling in her vulva will go back down to normal. Good luck

i breed german shepards, and it takes a good month or so before they stop bleeding at times... they have pre-heat, which is like 2 weeks before they are actually going into heat, then post heat, which is going out of heat, about 2 weeks for that...

I have heard that female dogs go in heat for about 1 month.

no more female dogs for me! I got tired of pulling old sheets out when she had her period, seems like it lasted for ever.
