I've been trying to adopt her from the pound, but first she had kennel cough, and then last Friday she was diagnosed with pnemonia. They said she is on meds and in isolation until the time is up and they will call me, but they won't tell me how long.

They won't tell you because she has a serious problem. They don't want to get your hopes up. It can be a week, or even 2. She could also die from this depending upon her overall health and the care she is getting now. I don't want to panic you but they should have told you this. I hope she gets better soon. Being that she is an adult dog gives her a much better chance of getting better. Good for you for adopting. Be proud of yourself. She will need a lot of TLC the first month after coming home. Keep exercise at a minimum for a while. Build her back up. Lots of good food and love.

becuase they won't know until her symptoms clear up and then they will hold her another 4 weeks to make sure no symptoms return.

It will be a while and with a sickness like pneumonia, they can not make any promises.
