My dog seems to understand everything I tell him to do - even if I use a different tone or command - he must understand english and be super intelligent.

and now, he has flees. I bought that stuff that the vet recommends at Wal-mart, and put it on him (I'v done it twice now). Its the liquid stuff you squirt in a line all down his back. But it hasnt done anything and he scratches ALL DAY LONG. And NOW, my he gave the flees to my dang cat. ugh! Even if its not cheap, is there some type of place I can take him to get dipped to make sure it gets rid of the flees? Or what is my best bet gonna bet in getting rid of all these flees??

It would then no longer be their territory, but more than likely someone else's.

I have several problems with my min-pin. We have had here since she was 10 weeks old. She is 1 and 1/2 now and chews everything up. If we leave anything on the coffe table and leave the room (pens, lighters, bills) she chews no shreds it to pieces. She is taking my 4 year olds toys and doing the same. We have tried everything and nothing works. We have a baby on the way and I am terrified she will take the baby's pasifers or bottles if we leave the room. Something else is she bites my son and rips his clothing. She has bad huge holes in almost all of his clothes. It never seems to be for any reason. She also jumps on people and refuses to listen to leave them alone when people come over. She is just a pest and drives our company crazy. Another problem is she digs all over my yard. She digs at the fence to the sreet and the neighbors houses She digs inthe middle of the yard. She digs and then walks away. I need some help. I am at my wits end and my husband wants to get rid of her.

I'm thinking about getting a Beagle. Do they make good pets? I live in Bozeman Montana and there would be plenty of room for the dog to exercise. Plus, I think beagle-bagel sounds funny. I guess I'm a nerd. I had a Springer Spaniel when I was a kid and she was a great friend/pet.

We have had a 3 month old puppy (Sheltie/Bichon mix) for about 2-3 weeks now. According to some of the other questions I asked concerning crate training, we've been approaching it incorrectly.

We are crate training in order to get puppy to understand to go outside, but we don't know how long she can hold it. During the week, we crate her for a few hours at a time (coming home for lunch to let her out, do her business, then crating her for another 3 hours until we return, and repeating). Seems to work well.

We were at first hesitant to crate her at night, since we didn't think she can hold it through the night. But, then I got seriously reprimanded by people here for that. I didn't want to crate her at night because we were concerned that we won't get up if she needs to go. Others have told me she can hold it through the night, others (and our experiences wihtout the crate) says she can't. Can she? What do I do? I'm very concerned and confused.

Serious responses please.

Other dogs snigger.
Why be cruel?
They have fur you know.
And don't get me started on doggie booties.
Dogs should wear a studded collar like Freddie Mercury and nothing else

Based on personal knowledge, my kids are looking for a pet since our dog died. I asked about a bulldog earlier but can't decide. What's a good medium sized dog that's good around children. It will have a good environment, lotsa love, no hostilities.

Hello! I am saving up to buy a little chi and I was wondering, how much time do you spend with your chi? The morning and when you come home from work? I'm just asking because I don't want to get a dog that will be lonely...♥♥♥

I have a 4 year old king charles spaniel, she has never been the most playful or energetic dog. she will only play if you play with her and even though i give her chews, she will only chew them for about 5 mins then she goes back to looking bored & sitting on her chair.

Obviously i cannot spend all day entertaining my pet as i have many other things to do. i thought about getting her one of those toys you hide a biscuit inside and they have to work it out, but i know she would just not use it.

She gets regualr excercise and is healthy, so i just don't know what to think??? she just looks so bored but is that just me adding human emotions to her??

My dog is a very smart dog. For the past few days he is on anti-biotic and it is a challenge to feed him medicine. First I tried mixing the medicine with water and tried to feed him using a syringe. We tried holding him and open his mouth only to find him struggling. We tried hidding it with cheese, tibits and canned food and failed. He will sniff first and ignore the food completely or spit out the food and eat the food and leaving out the medicine. The ways that we tried successfully is putting him into his water or milk but he did not finish it as there will still be some residual left. He is a small dog (cross terrier) of less than 8 kg but he know when we mess his food with the medicine! Is also thinking of putting him for a week in animal hospital for post surgery stay so that the vet can do the injection for us.... he is scheduled to go for surgery next week. We have been given 14 portion of the medicine and we have successfully fed him 4 but he has also wasted 3.

Our Pekinese died last year and my kids 8.6,and 1 are still crushed (not the 1 yr old). I'd like to get them a new dog. Does anyone know if bulldogs are good with kids? I've seen one as the local pet store pet and he seems docile.

The disorder is recessive. We wanted to breed her, but now we aren't. We don't live near any other dogs and Sierra is not let outside alone. She does not run off or chase things and is very obedient. There really isn't any chance of her just getting pregnant on her own. So should she be spayed since her offspring (should she have any) could possibly go blind or be a carrier (if the dad also has it or carries it)? Thanks.
