Dogs - August 2006

my 7 year old chihuahua has been limping on his hind leg lately... its on and off though. Like one day he'll be fine and the next he'll be limping. I'm already taking him to the vet on Saturday. Does anybody know any possible causes? Could it be signs of old age?

Short of putting my trash in the pantry ( only place I have to put it away) I cannot seem to keep my rat terrier out of the trash unless we are physically at home. I know she just misses us and above that, does not seem to like her dog food, but something has got to give... and it will not be me

I am planning to move to San Diego from NJ after finalize my devorce.
Sould I find job first? I am concerning that If I don't have job, I can not rent a apartment. I can stay in my friends house till I find job but I have 2 dogs (they are moving with me- they are my babies) my friend has 2 dogs also and one of them are not get along with other dogs. any suggestions?

Cause, I'm pretty sure my puppies are the cutest. (i have an album on my 360 page). But I am a dog lover so I pretty much love all of them, but come on, mine are pretty darn cute aren't they? I'm assuming that most everyone thinks that about their dogs... do you?

Her ears have scabs on the tops of them from where she scratches. I have taken her to the vet and they say that she has food allergies. Every food that I give her makes it worse. I have tried everything. Please help me.

… she will not let me sleep. My boyfriend insists that she sleep in the bed with us. That’s was how he was raised, animals are part of the family they are in the house…in the bed etc. I have been working really hard to get used to her; however the bed is too small for the three of us. She gets up and walks around on the bed and plops herself on my legs (she is a 50lbs bulldog, I am 110 lbs). She snores louder than my boyfriend! I am just not getting any sleep. I love her, but not in the bed. How do I get this message to him, so he understands that? Our dog means a lot to him.

Okay, I'm not sure when my dog breeded, my mom forgot to write it down, but her **** are swollen, but I can't seem to see the pups kick or anything, does this mean she's not due soon or is it normal not to see them kick? What things can I look for to know how much longer we have.

Don't say "Get her fixed", we're going to when the pups are done weening.

How do I get him to stop this? If the dog is sitting on my bed with me and myson comes in to tell me something , the dog growls. He growls, but then cowers. My son is very nice to the dog, so i dont get it. Are Yorkies just annoyed by kids? Should I spank the dog when he does this.
