I know that people poop, but why do dogs poop?
I read about it in that children's classic: "everyone poops".

Dogs poop because they eat things and only the healthy stuff goes in and the tasty food, which is stinky by then, goes out. Same thing with pee, things that you put in your body, comes out doesn't matter what. And that's basically the whole process and if you don't want to pee or poop, then don't eat but doesn't mater what, you will pee even if you don't drink water but you'll have some problems if you don't and I don't think that you can hold not eating for too long or you'll go hungry and eat a bunch!! Well, get it now? It's basically the same with dogs? Well, of course, and if you said different, then your pretty much stupid.

Same reasons as humans do. After food is digested it comes our the other end eventually.
