Okay, here's what happened. You treated the dog, but not the carpets and bedding. If you haven't already, go back to walmart and get flea insecticide: There's a special kind for carpets (I think RAID makes one of those). Spray and then wash down the bedding then spray down carpets, curtains, anything soft that fleas could hide in. Get mild stuff and treat the cat AND dog again. You're basically going to have to attack your home. I've done it before. If you're thorough, you'll win.

I've heard of skin burns before due to cage dryers being used. If the area wasn't well ventilated and the heat from the cage dryer was on high, this could have caused him to over heat. Pets being dried with cage dryers are to be monitored very closely. I'd get with your Vet, and document everything. Yes, I'd say this was due to some sort of neglect (not necessarily intentional). Be sure to ask the groomers EXACTLY what happened, let your Vet know and I'd be asking the groomers to pay for the Vet expenses as well as emotional damamge....then need a wake up call! So sorry for the loss of your dog. From now on, I'd take any other pets, or future pets to a Vet hospital that also provides grooming.

Get him dipped at your vet or have your vet recommend a good flea shampoo and give him a flee bath youself, following the directions. After that use Frontline drops. That is what my vet recommended I try first when the same thing happened to me and it worked pretty well. Make sure to treat the house as well.

I am a dog breeder and lots of the flea drops don't work. I like Frontline. You can get it at your vet or order online for less. It works. You can buy dip at your vet too and do it yourself but the drops WORK if you buy the good kind only. If they have fleas you will have worms next because they get the worms from the fleas. So after you get rid of the fleas will probably have to give her a dose of worm medicine too. Best of luck.

Go to a good vet and ask for Frontline Flea Treatment. That cheap stuff at wal-mart is not any good. Been there, tried that. Frontline is the only way to go. Also, you need to follow the instructions to a T to applying Frontline.

You need to bathe the cat and dog to get rid of the fleas on them. Then you need to either bug bomb your house, or shampoo all your carpets. Then you will need to wash any and all dog and cat bedding. Then get some revolution from your vets office. Before you use this make sure that your dog is heart worm free. Good luck.

Well, contact the groomers and let them know what happened. Why invest all of your money into getting rid of fleas when they are the reason why you're dealing with fleas. I'd have them give you your money back plus the money it will cost you to have the fleas removed. If the owner is unwilling to cooperate, call your lawyer!

The animals need a vet who can give them oral medication, as well as the oil for their backs. Then, do a THOROUGH cleaning of everything the animals have touched, and the faster, the better, or the fleas will keep multiplying, and it will be harder to get rid of them.

Get some K9Advantix - it is the best. Also, you may want to spray your yard and house all at the same time. This will keep him from getting reinfested. The K9Advantix will kill almost all of his fleas within 24 hours. You can get it at http://www.dog.com, http://www.drsfostersmith.com or your vet. Good Luck!

get a prescription flee med from your vet. I think that your groomer should reimburse you since it was her fault that your dog now has fleas.
