for some reason, my dog katie loves to tear seat cushions apart to get to the foam and eats it. she did the same thing to her nice big comfy bed i baught her so all she poops is foam cushion. how do i make her stop?

Was wondering do dogs have memory? Recently my brother just gave away his dog who he had kept for more than 1 year. His new owner told my brother that the dog is sitting at the gate everyday. He seems to be waiting for my brother. Is't true? Will he get use to his new owner? Will he still remember my brother after some time? Really curious. Such a pity dog. Thought of visiting him someday. But not sure if he will remember me or not.

most people prefer black rotts. but i think long haired red rotts are better. i love the auburn color and light brown markings. they are prettier that black rotts too. dont u think?

My 4 month old PomChi has been vomiting latley about an hour or so after he eats... I brought him to the Vet and he said that my dog has a cold, and gave him 3 shots of medicine. My dog now seems much worst so I called the Vet and he recommened that I take the dog out for walks and so on and it should help him heal. I usually do take my dog out everytime im free. I have tried to change his diet but that doesnt help as-well... What should I do? Or does anyone know what could be wrong with my dog and how can I help him? I live in China and the I dont really trust any of these Vets or the medicine, but I have no other choice. Can someone please help?

As a rescuer, I see people choosing dogs for many reasons...looks, ease of care, size, 'just always had as a kid", etc but often little regard is given to the actual temperament, exercise or training needs of the animal and therefore the animal is 'dumped' in a shelter or given away. all the signs are there

-while after she ate
-she sniffs
-her butt smells like poop
-i can smell poop- and its probably farts , like she has to go but she is holding it in becus she wants me to put her outside or be with me???

i have no idea but whenever i pt her outside, on a leash becus she runs away with the holeunder fence-- she pees but i have never seen her poop-- i leave her outside

and when i take her out to walks, twice today, she peed alot but never poop

pls help

she must go now or she sleeps in the cage tonight-- well she has like 3 hours-- its 10 pm right now

I bought an English bulldog, he was 10 weeks old when I got him. He immedietley got pnemonia 4 weeks of meds, so now he is 14 weeks old. I tried to socialize him but being a puppy when nieghbor kids came he got wound up then wheezed and coughed so vet said keep him quiet/ calm. So a couple more weeks go by now he is 16 weeks old (3 months) and never been around small childrem. I have three kids at the time 16, 10, and 7 he was fine with them, but when other children came he carked and growled. So I enrolled him in puppy classes. He was a social wreck jumpy, shaking whining, so the instructor did private classses. Now my baby is 22 weeks old. We now move from Maryland to Illlinois. He gets bronchitis/ pnumonia again again dont excite keep calm. After the move and new meds he is now 30 weeks old. My problem is he growls at small children,so I have kept him away from kids. How do I know socialize a grown 70pound dog? or can I?

I gave my mom a puppy for her birhtday last year, well he is 1 year old now and we love him very much, we have 2 other dogs at home and they all play all day long. Oscar is a Min Pin/Dauschund mix. he LOVES to get out and chase cars, we used to chase him but that was a game to him and so now we just keep a eye on him till he comes home and he as come home the last few time, we do take him for walks and rides in the car, he loves to go places, we even take all the dogs to a open field and let them run, noone else is around, we keep his harness and leash on to get him back. We are lucky, our neighbors know him and know he is our dog, but we live in farming country and logging country, we are afraid that he will go to the main road and get run over by a log truck. He almost got hit by a log truck before. The last few times he never left the cul-de-sac, but we live 2 houses away from a field and he can fit thru the fence, now its a combine we will get killed by, or racoon, coyete. HELP !

She has been having seizures for 3 years. She is on Phenabarbitol and Potassium Bromide. We recently switched to capsules of Pot. Brom.l instead of liquid. When all was said and done, we think that was the reason for the seizures. Something about liquid being absorbed into the bloodstream faster.
But, my question is, why can't she walk very well now. She has not had any seizures for 3 days; however, she has alot of trouble getting her footing and when she does walk, sometimes her legs just give out.
What could this be? The seizures? The medicine?
