I gave my dog cup cake paper to lick the crumbs but he just gulped it down. Will it pass out normally or will something happen to it? Please help. It's an 8 month old German Shepherd. Quite big. As big as a full grown dog of almost any other breed.

Large Cupcake Papers

Hmmm. How big is the dog? Breed? Some cupcake wrappers have a waxy coating that may prevent complete digestion therefore posing a blockage risk but alot depends on the size and age of your dog. A medium to large dog should pass even an undigested cupcake paper with no problem. A smaller dog could have problems. Most likely it will pass with no problems as dogs are notorious garbage eaters and rarely encounter problems but just watch his potty habits over the next few days. If he shows any signs of distress or constipation, a trip to the vet might be in order. Good luck !

There are a few real keys to dog training, whether you are trying to train your dog to come when called, sit, stop barking or any other behavior. Understanding their importance is critical to achieving rapid results that are long lasting and help develop the bond between you and your dog. Read more here https://biturl.im/aU7DC

The first is simple; you must win your dogs mind. If you don't achieve this first then you will be struggling the all the way. When I talk about winning your dogs mind what I really mean is that your dog looks to you for all the decisions. Before you do anything else watch one of the amazing video sites that show you the 5 Golden rules to establishing yourself as the pack leader. If you aren't putting these in place then you are setting yourself up to fail. Just at the crucial point where you really want your dog to listen they will go and do their own thing. For sure your dog may play ball occasionally or even most of the time, you may even have a dog that is obedient 99% of the time, however if you want a dog who always listens to you and does as you ask then you need to win your dogs mind.

The second key to success is to motivate your dog. It is really important that you discover what it is that your dog enjoys both in terms of exercise and play but also in terms of a reward. If you can make the experience enjoyable then you will both achieve more and look forward to training.

Some dogs love to fetch, others love agility, and other dogs simply love obedience training, or swimming out into water and retrieve. At least to start with find out what your dogs love is and help them develop this, what I am saying is work with your dog. The other point to recognize is to make training enjoyable reward your dog.

Well if you could tell me it is an older dog, like 3 or up, and a medium to large size dog, then honestly I wouldn't worry about it! I've had many a dog in that category that has eaten cupcake wrappers, never had a problem! However if you have some small or miniature dog and low weight, etc, then I would watch the dog. Its hard to say, especially when they're a puppy too. So more than likely not to worry, but if you do have a small dog, then keep an eye on him/her. For you'll know, when it starts vomiting, or not being able to go to the bathroom, then something is up, then I would head to the vet. to have them help your dog.

Ha ha. That is adorable. Don't worry. He'll be perfectly okay. The paper will pass normally. Well, what's left of it by the time his stomach gets through with it.

That's the cutest thing I've heard in a while....he just didn't know that the paper wasn't food too..LOL

if its just the wrapper from one cupcake, it shouldn't be too much
trouble. Dogs eat a lot of weird stuff and what they can't digest, passes thru their system. One of my dogs ate a cloth diape(totally gross!) We found out when she tried to pass it and it was partly
hanging out of her butt. I had to put on plastic gloves and gently
pull the thing out of her butt. She was OK, but it could have
caused a lot of trouble. But paper can be digested, esp if its
something small, so your dog should be allright. Just remember next time to scrape the crumbs off into its bowl or even on the
ground and toss the paper.
