Sophie is adorable, but you can always pick something that fits her personality. We didnt name my lab puppy for weeks while we played with her and discovered her personality.
Go with something with a vowel on the end I'd say though, dogs seem to respond better to names like that.

Sophie is very cute. As long as you don't pick something obvious like Wrinkles (my neighbor's pug), it'll be great. Congratulations on the new puppy!

Awww. Pugs are wonderful dogs. I have a friend who has the cutest little pug and her name is Rosie, short for Rosebud, which is what their face kinda looks like, a smooshed in rosebud. I thought that was cute. You might want to try it out and say, "Here Rosie, here Rosie" and see how it feels saying it like how you would use it. If it isn't awkward and the dog responds, that's it! Have fun with your little cutie!

you relatively shouldn't take a domestic dog faraway from its mom before 8 weeks. yet, I purely observed a pug/beagle mixture domestic dog and that i named her Laila. another ones have been Lila, Lilly, Darla, and Marley.

My mom wants a pug and she wants to name it Penelope not Penelope Cruz though the dog is cuter. She suggests to get her pearls! I am not joking. just to let you know about the pearls.

We called ours Faye Faye....fat fat in Chinese. Sophie is a nice name.
