As walking stimulates the bowels, take her for another walk before you go to bed..She likely needs more fiber or lube in her diet. You can give her a little canned pumpkin mixed with her food, or canned creamed corn, or a teaspoon of olive oil, or Metamucil..But, none of those will help tonight..So, to keep from cleaning it up in her crate, or in the house..take her for a 30 minute walk..

A little background would help here in determining if this is a routine with your dog or if this is a first time occurrence. How old is the dog, breed, age, etc. Some smaller dogs can become impacted and may need their anal glands expressed.(If this is the case, you may notice your dog dragging her rump on the ground and scooting.) This can be done by you or best if done by a vet or groomer that is experienced in this. She may be constipated. Housetrained dogs that 'hold' it can become impacted. A little raw pumpkin (not the pie mix) in her food can help or even applesauce. Or you may simply have a dog that likes company while she does her duty :D

I'll probably hear about this from people who think it's cruel but at the dog show when the dogs are nervous they refuse to go as well. It's a quick fix for us show people, we simply take a book of matches (the cardboard ones not the wooden ones) take 1 (one) and push it about a 1/4" (quarter inch) into the dogs rectum. Sometimes it may take more but it works every time.

Unfortunately there is no sign or command or order to make the dog poop. They will poop when they are ready to poop. If she continues this for several days you need to take her to the vet. There may be a more serious problem.

Keep walking with her, don't leave her tied up, you can't praise immediately when she does it to encourage that behaviour if you're not there which is essential. Try what her Mom would do and stimulate her with a warn wet cloth or sponge. When she does it, make a fuss of her.

She may be constipated.....Maybe you should contact your vet if you have NEVER seen her poop. Maybe she does it when you aren't paying attention. I agree that some pets like a lot of privacy. My dog runs out to the yard and always goes behind this bush/tree thing so we can't see him do his business.

It it takes practice, and you have to go out with her everytime. Tell her to go poop. When she finally does, rerward her right away with a treat and praise.

Take her to a vet. She sounds like she might possibly be sick and constipated.
