sometimes she also looks like she has the hiccups. is she ok? she has also vomited a few times

It could be anything. If it sounds like she's coughing, then she could have heart problems, like heartworms. If you are truly concerned with her health, then take her to the vet.

could be kennel cough, you can search it online & youll get all kinds of info.....basically its kinda of liek the ocmmon cold it will run its course but to relieve the symptoms a bit you could take her to the vet & they will give you an antibiotic for your pooch to take for 2 weeks.....it lessens the coughing & stops the vomiting, they will still cough a bit but not so much...it this doesnt run its course w/in a couple weeks for sure go to the vet there may some other serious problem....keep an eye on her & go to your vet if this condition worsens ASAP!!!

does she make the sound after she drinks? my dog does that when he drinks to much to fast. or, right before he gets sick, or when he just doesn't feel well. you should probably ask a vet about it though.

hmmm.....i don't know how the sound sounds like...but my dog do makes this hacking sound and seems like he has mucus in his throat or something...i've seen him cough up mucus b4...not very worried....
