Well I know them all. I have had pets that were spayed/neutered and pets that weren't. Here are the ups and downs.

UPS OF NEUTERING MALE DOGS
-Male dogs are less territorial and aggressive after being neutered
-Male dogs are less likely to get cancer than un-neutered males
-Male dogs will live longer after being neutered
DOWNS OF NEUTERING MALE DOGS
-Male dogs will be clumsy for a few weeks after being neutered
-Male dogs will not want to go anywhere with you after neutering
-Male dogs will not move off the couch or anywhere for a few days
UPS OF SPAYING FEMALE DOGS
-Female dogs will not go into heat (heat increases cancer)
-Female dogs are less likely to get cancer
-Female dogs will live longer
DOWNS OF SPAYING FEMALE DOGS
-Female dogs will be clumsy for a few weeks after being neutered
-Female dogs will not want to go anywhere with you after neutering
-Female dogs will not move off the couch or anywhere for a few days

My 3 month old beagle is sleeping and shaking. I'm a little concerned about the shakes. They are like short spasms, it kind of looks like what happens when you get really cold in the winter and your body shakes really quickly, but he keeps doing it, everytime time he breaths in. Is this normal?

My dog has a curious fear of feathers. She barks at them for a bit before biting them and shaking them. Then barking a bit more, etc... she's a king charles cavalier by the way. Don't know if that makes a difference! Any ideas why she does this?! The nutter.

I've heard this is not the best route to take, but won't they end up putting the animals they don't sell to sleep?

My dog just caught a squirell between our many trees in our backyard. Do I need to be concerned, or should I just let the dog play with the squirl corps.

The dog is 12 weeks old (has all it's shots) and is lethargic, vomitting and has diarrhea.
I believe he was exposed to an area were the virus was a few weeks ago, but he wasn't exposed to a dog with parvo. He was first exposed to the area on Thursday (6 days ago).

Is this DEFINATLEY parvo, or are there other options?
