My dog has a curious fear of feathers. She barks at them for a bit before biting them and shaking them. Then barking a bit more, etc... she's a king charles cavalier by the way. Don't know if that makes a difference! Any ideas why she does this?! The nutter.

If the feathers still carry a bird scent, she thinks it's a bird. Certain breeds of dog have a natural instinct to attack birds, hence the name "bird dog".

Well,it is just a kind of dog that hate's bird and it might think the feather is a bird,so train him to think that the feather is not a bird !

I'm not sure either, unless she's playing.

Or unless she was abused and somehow feathers got associated with it.

Frankly, I'm baffled.
