I have two husky dogs, They keep on digging holes to get out of our yard and sometimes holes in the middle of the yard. They have to dig thru rocks to get out and they are pretty big rocks. I thought dogs didn't like the feel of digging up rocks? What is one way that I can stop them from digging in general. I know why they try to get out of the yard but how do I stop them from digging up the fence and the grass?

How can I train her to stop this. When someone goes to pet her, either than myself, she piddles.. even if its my kids or husband...when we go to let her outside after being away for a couple of hours, we go to put her leash on her, she lays on her back and she piddles before she gets outside.

any suggestions... will she outgrow this?

My legs are totally bit up from fleas!! My roomates dog is the culprit. They told me that they took the dog to the vet and already put it on a flea medicine but the darn thing still has fleas. My legs have little mosquito bite looking things all over them!! When I took a shower tonight I saw two fleas in the water. UGH!!! Does anyone have any cheap ideas for what I can do to get these fleas out of my bed and out of my rug in my room??? PLEASE???

I have a wonderful dog. However he's a 1 year old and a mixed breed of husky and german shepard with lots of energy. I just recently found out that I need to move closer to NYC so i have to live in a studio apartment.
Is there any way to keep a 40lb dog happy in that kind of space (roughly 600 sq ft)? I realize that I have to walk him but he's not very good in the crate--in fact he thinks that the crate is a jail and promptly tries to escape it.
However if i don't crate him i'm afraid he might tear something up (like a pillow or the sofa). How can i get him to calm down in his crate and realize it's not an evil thing? I tried luring him in with treats and covering the crate but nothing works. I think he's happiest out of the crate.

I really don't want to give up my dog...he means everything to me so hopefully someone here can help :(

my opinion:
i object to plastic surgery when it is medically unnecessary. i don't know much about normal & healthy human beings trying to surgically enhance their 'everywhere'... but how much trauma pets go through during the procedures?
you may purchase a dog for few hundreds/ thousand dollars. but that does not mean that you can subject your pet to these unnecessary traumas just because they wag our tails & look up to you? they can't verbalize their disgust with plastic surgey...
pets are simple beings... keep them simple. love them as how they look and behave. please stop abusing them. don't put them through painful procedures just to meet the 'standard requirements' of any kennel clubs, or to make them more 'attractive'.
don't buy pets for the wrong reasons. buy/ adopt a pet because you love animals. don't change how we look. change

Compounding the current higher ER, hospital and environmental costs is the fact that nearly a quarter of U.S. births are to immigrants. This, according to a study in 2005, is a record higher than at the peak of the previous great immigration wave in 1910. Nearly 42 percent of those births are to mothers in the country illegally.

Do the math, and this means that 10 percent of U.S. births are to illegal aliens.

“We are heading, if you will, into uncharted territory,” said last year’s study author, Steve Camarota, director of research at the Center for Immigration Studies. “In the past, immigration was significantly reduced when it reached a similar level, but that’s not happening today.”
