My dogs LOVE carrots and they are good for them. Cleans their teeth and vitamins as well. The type doesn't matter.
I have a Newf right now that will do anything for carrot or celery sticks! Veggies are great for dogs. However, he will spit peas for distance. lol
They make for great training tools........ just cut them into small bites for that.

You've almost answered this question yourself by asking questions! What you feed your most dependent buddy depends on several factors. How old is he? - older pet's stomach can be less hardy. How are his teeth? - if your pet cannot thoroughly chew his carrots he could choke. Is your pal eating his cherished treat to the exclusion of a balanced diet? Are the carrots thoroughly scrubbed to protect the little fellow from pesticides and fertilizers used to treat his treat? You're on the right track. Keep these concerns in mind and any other that occur to you. With such thoughtful care your pets large and small should thrive! Pam

Dogs can eat carrots. They are good for them. Only give him a carrot once or twice a week - and since chichis are so small - I would not give him a very large piece

Yep. They are very good for your dog. You can even freeze them, dogs love them just like an ice cube. You can also give them string beans mixed in their food as a filler, to control weight gain. I would recommend the small baby carrots, since you have a wittle doggie.

Baby carrots are a great treat for a dog.

I've read that you should not give a dog grapes though.

Mine loves carrots and green beans, too! Vegetables are not bad for them, but be careful not to give them too much! Tummy aches and gas problems could result! Good luck!

Yes, they are ok. They are great to freshen the breath and also as a filler for overweight dogs to help them cut back. Just make sure he doesn't get choked. (however actual choking in dogs is rare).

I am a firm believer of not giving table scraps. This will just cause them to beg for food all the time. Also, they should be getting all the nutrients needed from there food. It is to easy to continue giving table scraps and cause your dog to be over weight, and this is especially dangerous for small breed dogs.
