NEVER, BUT NEVER FEED THE DOG RAISINS..... RAISINS ARE ON THE TOXIC FOOD LIST ALONG WITH GRAPES. FEEDING THE DOG RAISINS CAN KILL IT...
grapes and raisins Contain an unknown toxin, which can damage the kidneyshttp://www.peteducation.com/article.cfm?cls=2&cat=1661&articleid=1030

If your dog is constipated feed it a couple tablepoons of canned pumpkin and it will go to the bathroom, but it could also have anal gland problems and they will need suppressed. may want to contact vet if the pumpkin does not work.

Golden raisins are ok as they are from green grapes. The standard raisins should not be fed(particularly to a small dog) as red seedless grapes are indeed toxic to dogs and affect the kidneys. Feeding dogs red seedless grapes and onions(and anything in the onion family) can build up in the system. Never feed your dog chocolate(particularly the powdered baking chocolate), caffeine, red seedless grapes, onions avocados, and some nuts. These are/can all be toxic.

Not sure if it was true or not, but someone sent me an email article how raisins/grapes are very toxic to dogs/animals. Can't remember much more about the article though.
