If a K-9 Dog is instructed to begin to sniffing out drugs, will he only search for drugs he is instructed to or can he search for more than one thing at a time? For example, is the instructor has the dog do bomb sniffing, will he also alert to any drugs he finds or can a dog only sniff one thing at a time. A few friends and I are in a debate over this. I think they can only be instructed to sniff one thing at a time....does anyone know the answer?

We recently moved from the country where my 3 dogs roamed freely on our 30 acres of land. Now we live in the city and they MUST stay outdoors due to size. I would do ANYTHING for them, ANYTHING. Please help!

I found a bug, looked more like a brown lump that literally grew on my dog (I found one in the summer, and one last night). It stuck on my dog, really hard to get it off. It was the size of my pinky finger nail. Does any one know what kind insect is it? I am sure it is not fleas

I have a Great Dane dog (Rory) and he poops at awkward times and in inappropriate places. Once, he pooped just oustide the steps of a church and before I could pick it up, a bunch of people came storming out (it seems there was a small fire) and they all went sliding all over, a few face down in the excrement. Another time, I was "entertaining" a woman in my bedroom and Rory was standing near the bed. I'm not sure if he was rebuffed by my romantic gestures towards my lady friend, but he jumped on the bed and proceeded to poop all over us. It was so gross! Another time, he pooped just as some pallbearers were approaching carrying a casket. Needless to say, they slipped in the awful brown sludge and dropped the coffin. What do I do?

so, i have a 8 month old pup who has crappy teeths. i was brushing them again today & noticed that his left top fang was extremely wobbily. now, if you have read my other Q's, you would know my dog lost his k9's & that his fangs are redish black in color and that i have boughten him tons of doggie helthy chew toys & feed him nutro. i also give him these doggy mint things & brush his teeth once a day. ive been doing this for 2 months, and the teeth? they have gotten worse- like i said, his fang is wobbaly. i guess the only good news is his right fangs arent as bad as they were. the bottom right is a little bluish black, but the top one is turning more of a yellow pearl white instead of the red orange. i called a vet 2 see what it would cost to get his teeth serviced & she was surprised i wanted to bring pup in about teeth problems(usually, dogs dont get to that point till 2 yrs) i then mentioned the red tooth & she freaked saying they needed to be pulled. so, should i save $ and do it??

My dads friends family has a female chocolate Lab. They want to breed her just so that she becomes a better dog. The question is, is letting her have puppies have the same effect as her spending ALOT of time with puppies that need to be fostered? Please answer with a responsible answer.

Our yorkie (5 years old) has always gone ballistic when we leave the house. He starts barking as soon as we put our shoes on or I pick up my purse. We've tried everything - shock collar, treats, scolding - but nothing works. He barks incessantly - we still hear him outside when we're getting into the car!!!

I have a 10 year old female Westie that we got at a dog shelter rescue 5 years ago. I LOVE HER SO MUCH!!! The vet says she is going blind in both eyes due to cataracts. He said it could take a few years. She can't get the surgery because her heart is weak from heartworms that she had when the shelter found her. But that if we wanted to help her now for her future, we should try and get her another westie (he said dog) but we LOVE the westie personality. The vet said our Ellie would get used to her new brother or sister and the younger dog would be Ellie's guide dog and special companion. I am on disability and don't know when I'll be able to go back to full time work. Does anyone have a younger Westie they would be willing to give us or sell us for a reasonable price? We'd love to have one that's between 1and 5 years old and has been living indoors. Any help is much appreciated.

I want a healthy long lasting chew for my 9 month old puppy, to occupy him while he's occasionally alone. I read that rawhide and pig ears, etc are not good for them and can carry bacteria.

The cat is getting used to the puppy and getting closer to her but now the puppy wants to play and keeps getting really hyper and jumping at the cat. The cat is doing great but I don't know how to get the puppy to clam down around the cat.

I just got a puppy from a friend. To me it looks like a yellow lab/ golden retreiver mix. It looks just like the puppy on the toliet paper commercials. When I asked her what it was mixed with she said the mother dog was half standard poodle and half st. bernard and the dad was standard poodle. I just dont think so. This dog looks just like a lab. Is it possible that she is right and I am wrong.

I'm not sure how it will affect my male poodle (he is personally mine and extremely spoiled), we have two other dogs in the house, and he is very, very attached to me and I wonder if I was to get a puppy would he be jealous? Would it affect his temperment? If I do get a puppy, would it be best to get a male or female? (my dog is nuetered so puppies and territory wouldn't be a problem) Also if I do get a puppy what should I name it? I really hope you'll answer ALL of my questions! Thank you for your answers!
