the puppy will learn once he gets a few slaps from the cat..they need to learn from each other what their limits are just make sure the cat doesnt scratch your dogs eyes out.. let them be friends on their own time..bren

Just let them play and wrestle together - if one gets out of hand, separate them for a bit, just keep an eye on them. Our puppy and cat always play around, and when the cat has had enough, he lets the dog know. Plus, cats can jump up high and get away whereas dogs can't.

we've a 5 twelve months previous rescue lab, 3 twelve months previous beagle and a three twelve months previous rescue cat. all of them get alongside and play mutually. The cat heavily isn't happy while the pup comes yet finally the cat gets used to it. they'd no longer play mutually precise away however the respond is definite, they are able to get alongside. Do supervise for a mutually as first earlier leaving them on my own. I surely have never had a pit yet I do have self belief they seem to be a made of their ecosystem and not unavoidably undesirable. in case you enhance your pit with love and don't instruct them to attack or combat, it is going to be ok. in case you intend on coaching the pit to attack or combat i would not circulate away different animals on my own with them or infants!!

your doing fine, but alway ssupervise them in play. 2 of my 3 cats are very close & love my 2 dogs. the 3rd one will lay next to the dogs , but never cuddle with them . your puppy will outgrow the playing & learn to respect his little fursister.

well i was in same boat as you. my dog didn't like the new kitten but now they love each other. i think the more they spend time the more they like each other. you should spend more time with the dog cause he or she might think you love more the cat. feel more jealously. that how i do it. give my dog sometime to her and me. so i hope this help

its that question again the one that has baffled every one for years how to stop a young pup chasing older p.ussy. well young pups should not be around old p.ussy its that simple young pups are to play full and old p.ussy just needs a rest' get the pup a new toy .
