I am training a 13 week old Pit Bull right now and I also trained her 1 year old sister.
When ever she started to bite, I would take her own foot & put it in her mouth & let her bite it while I was saying "No Bite". This is the same method I have used to teach any breed of dog not to bite & it works great.

Pups who were removed from their mothers early don't learn "pack manners", so you have to train them in what behavior is acceptable or not.

When a pups bites the mother dog, she corrects him with a stern growl and puts her mouth over his muzzle to stop him from biting again.

You can repond similarly: When your pup bites, put your fingers around its muzzle and close its mouth. Apply firm pressure, but don't squeeze so hard that you cause the dog pain. When you have its mouth shut, tell it sternly, "No bite," then release its mouth. If it tries to bite you again, repeat the process: close its mouth with your fingers and give it a stern, "No bite" command...

It might take a puppy several tries to get the idea of what you want, but it will learn to behave.

Never accept any behavior from a puppy that you would not accept from an adult dog. If you allow misbehavior when the dog is small, it will be far more difficult to combat the misbehavior when the dog is an adult.

And never hit or bite your puppy. This only teaches it aggressive behavior, and teaches it to fear you rather than respect you.

Puppies in general bite as a form of play. But it is unacceptable to bite you as their leader. A couple of things to do, when they do bite you, "yip" really loud, it will mimmick the sound of it's littermates letting him know that he has bitten too hard. Also, if he does it during a form of play with you, you stop the play and leave him and ignore him or sit really still with hands hidden for a few minutes. And then you start the play again..not the puppy.

How old is the puppy? I know this sounds mean, but when the puppy bites I usually make them bite themselves and tell them no in a loud voice, because dogs don't like the way it feels to bite themselves and eventually they stop biting.

I stay in an house together with her and he or she is properly-known in our interior sight, each and every physique stops to play together with her. She's advantageous with infants and assorted doggies -- whether I consistently safeguard a watch on her. it is the equivalent with any canines. Any canines can get spooked and change around and chew absolutely everyone interior sight. in simple terms like the others have pronounced, terriers are obdurate, useful canines. you desire to be waiting to be the alpha canines -- and that would not propose you ought to beat your canines. you purely have have been given to exert dominance and administration, and exhibit them which you're in value. puppies are easy to train, just use a language they understand. when the puppy bites, you should bear your teeth and growl, if that does not work snap at him with your teeth, if that don't work bite him not to hard on the ear. this is how a mother dog teaches her pups so that is what they understand.
