I'm not sure how it will affect my male poodle (he is personally mine and extremely spoiled), we have two other dogs in the house, and he is very, very attached to me and I wonder if I was to get a puppy would he be jealous? Would it affect his temperment? If I do get a puppy, would it be best to get a male or female? (my dog is nuetered so puppies and territory wouldn't be a problem) Also if I do get a puppy what should I name it? I really hope you'll answer ALL of my questions! Thank you for your answers!

You should take into consideration of how your dog reacts when you give attention to the other dogs in the house. Does he get jealous? If yes, then multiply that jealousy by two. That is how your dog is going to react to the new puppy in the house. If your dog doesn't get jealous when you pay attention to the other dogs in the house, then your poodle will still be jealous but it wont be as forceful. The only reason your dog will react this way is because you will naturally have to pay more attention to the puppy because you have to feed it more often and walk it more often and train it as well. Don't lose all hope though, this problem can be fixed with training. If you feel that you have the time and energy to put into training both the puppy and your poodle then go for it, get a puppy.

If you decide to get a puppy, get a female. Even if your poodle is fixed, it is easier for opposite sex dogs to get along. Why don't you name the puppy "Star" or "Midnight".

Well if your poodle gets along with the two other dogs, it shouldn't be that big of a deal. You need to make sure you don't neglect him in any way or pay alot more attention to the new puppy...that he won't like. Keep your poodle's routine the same- he might still be a little hurt and jealous but it shouldn't affect his temperment in a negitive way.
The choice of a male or female is yours..depends on your preference and what you want in a dog-
Hopefully you will check out the shelters near you-the best dogs are mutts!
As far as a name..It's easier to suggest if you have an idea what the dog looks like...maybe Drake or Tristan for a boy, Sheena for a girl....

Ok, first of all: please don't go somewhere to buy a puppy when there are so many wonderful, homeless dogs/puppies in shelters just waiting to be adopted (and who might otherwise be euthanized!!)

That said, your current dogs probably will be a little jealous when you bring home a "newbie," but that's to be expected and only natural. I don't know about the sex of the new dog or the breed. You probably need to investigate this. And of course who can say what to name the dog since you don't even have one yet!!

So you have 3 dogs and want a 4th?
Well, if your dog gets along well with the other dogs, getting a puppy shouldn't be a problem as long as you give him the same attention you do the puppy. Name the puppy Hulk or Rosco.

ur poodle will most likely be jealous-most dogs r when you get a puppy. he might get even more attatched to your or he might get more aggressive to the other dogs(but not you). males r less aggressive to dog the opposite sex so get a femal if you do decide. for the name it depends on the breed. maybe Gigi Candi Sheba Lucy Cookie. think of something u like and make it into a name

Yes, your poodle would be jealous. It might change his disposition. He might sulk, start peeing in places he's not supposed to or even avoid you. As for territory, you are his territory and just because he is neutered doesn't mean he wouldn't try to defend what he considers you. He might become more aggressive because he considers you as his own.

It sounds like you might end up with too many dogs in one house. 3 dogs is enough in my opinion, and yes I imagine your poodle would start getting temperamental and difficult if he had another dog taking your attention away.

I dont think it is a good idea considering he is very attached to you, what if he gets jelous, and starts attacking your puppy? If you defend the puppy, he will think you dont love him, and therefore might abandon you....
