My dog has lost his mind. He has gotten so bad my husband cant touch me, even hug me, without the dog barking his head off and acting as though he is going to bite my husband. He is like this with others as well. Someone tapped me on my shoulder and the dog jumped up on the person, barking and growling agressively. The strangest thing, is I have only been with the dog for a year, and my husband has had him for 5. Has anyone else experienced this, or knows how to fix it? Thanks....Princess

Sometimes it just so sad. Read this and maybe it will make you sad enought to do something;
Isn't it funny, Way back then people Loved this breed and Believed in what they stood for, But now they say Pit Bulls are bad. Funny how we have turned our backs on this loyal breed

A Prayer of a Pit bull
Spirit in the sky, who watches over all animals:
It is my prayer and my request that you grant greater understanding,
and acceptance to humans;
those who love us, and those who hate us.
That they will know how loyal we are, how brave we are,
and how loving we are. Help them to accept us as a breed in whole, and not let the few tragedies shine brighter than the many great traits that we have. And those who would kill me,
let them know, I forgive them, even though I don't understand their hatred. And those who would beat me, let them know I still love them, even though it is not the honorable way.
Thank you for all the strong traits that you have given to me,
and my breed. Help those to know that I stand for
courage, strength, loyalty, and bravery.
And as my master already knows, let those who would come against my family know that I would surely die defending them.
And just one last thing that I would ask:
Let my master know, that if you should call me away,
that I will wait patiently at those pearly gates
until the one who chose me,
comes home.
Amen.

I have just adopted a Staffordshire Bull Terrier who was rescued by a friend of mine. He is a lovely dog , well mannered, very obedient affectionate and eager to please.
Only problem is I have quite an elderly cat and he has taken to chasing her and going for her. My other Staffy has never bothered with her, in fact they give each other the occasional sniff.
Can you suggest anything to deter the new boy in the house chasing her ? I really would like to keep him but if this continues I'll have to re-think and I don't want to put him through settling in to another new home. Thanks .

Bella (bullmastiff) is 4 1/2 mths and we have had her since 6 wks old. She is crate trained and sleeps all night w/out accidents. We got Buddy (boxer) who is 3 1/2 mths old @ 3 wks ago. He is also crate trained and sleeps all night w/out accidents. During the day, I am continually letting them outside after napping, eating, drinking, playing, etc...but they will still come in and potty on the floor. I have showed them and told them 'bad dog' and took them back outside, sent them 'to their room' and have swatted their backends w/paper towel rolls. Nothing is working. Hubby said I have 2 weeks or they're gone. I can't blame him, but they are my babies, especially Bella, and Buddy belongs to my little girl. Anyone have any suggestions? This is driving me crazy. I feel like I live in a barn. Carpets are continually being shampooed, and the smell is awful. I burn candles all the time. Please help with any useful and humane ideas. Thank you.

I was scrubbing the couch with our deep steamer machine, and when I poured out the dirty water, I noticed rice like objects. But it definately wasn't rice! Our couch is dark brown, so I've never seen anything like this before. We've never noticed anything in our dog's poop.

I have a four month old pug puppy that came to me from the breeder paper trained...YUK! I used the crate training method with my two year old pug who did perfect and never once pottied in the crate. Not my new puppy...she pottys and poops in the crate, even if you just brought her inside. I know it takes time, but every puppy book I have read assures me that they will not potty in the crate (unless left too long of course). I have even partitioned the crate so she only has room to turn around. Think she will out grow this behavior? Any suggestions?

He snapped down on the kitten and that's all it took. He was dead within 10 minutes. This isn't the first time he's killed. He's a very intelligent, loyal and affectionate dog but he's not good with cats. I tried to bring him to our local animal shelter this morning, but they said he would be put to sleep so I brought him back home. I've also put an ad in our local newspaper. But what if I can't find a home for him? What will I do with him?

My do will climb 6 foot brick walls like a cat. He will not listen like he is deaf, and seems to like me bailing his *** out the pound. Without going to some animal trainer or calling the dog whisperer, what can I do to curb his ways. Besides the 15lb. weight I have him dragging right now.

My 13-week old puppy has been treated twice for worms, once when a positive diagnosis of Round and Hookworms, and a second just two weeks ago as a follow up. Just today my fiancee found a little blood in her stool with thin, short (maybe .5 inches), little "worms" in her stool. What kind of worms does this sound like? She's still eating, drinking, and playing, and her stools are not runny nor is she vomitting, so I'm not too concerned about parvo or anything...any ideas on what kind of worms they could be? How did she get them? She has no contact with other dogs and she was just dewormed (Strongid) two weeks ago!! Can they be passed to us???

My Pit Bull is doing things unimaginable. The lastest thing she did was pulled the water pipe from the ground and broke it. Now water is everywhere and I have to call someone to fix it. What a drag. My husband thinks we should get rid of her but I love her and I tried telling her no but she won't listen. What do I do?!
