Sometimes it just so sad. Read this and maybe it will make you sad enought to do something;
Isn't it funny, Way back then people Loved this breed and Believed in what they stood for, But now they say Pit Bulls are bad. Funny how we have turned our backs on this loyal breed

A Prayer of a Pit bull
Spirit in the sky, who watches over all animals:
It is my prayer and my request that you grant greater understanding,
and acceptance to humans;
those who love us, and those who hate us.
That they will know how loyal we are, how brave we are,
and how loving we are. Help them to accept us as a breed in whole, and not let the few tragedies shine brighter than the many great traits that we have. And those who would kill me,
let them know, I forgive them, even though I don't understand their hatred. And those who would beat me, let them know I still love them, even though it is not the honorable way.
Thank you for all the strong traits that you have given to me,
and my breed. Help those to know that I stand for
courage, strength, loyalty, and bravery.
And as my master already knows, let those who would come against my family know that I would surely die defending them.
And just one last thing that I would ask:
Let my master know, that if you should call me away,
that I will wait patiently at those pearly gates
until the one who chose me,
comes home.
Amen.

Your question was why do we blame the breed for bad people.

The answer is that, no matter who caused it, there are a lot of bad pit bulls in the cities of America. I don't think many people think that the breed is some kind of monster dog, but damn! they have strong jaws. And the people in cities who own them are very often young toughs who teach them to be aggressive, and encourage any natural defensiveness they posses.

I've seen any number of these young men walking their pit bull, swaggering that city tough-boy swagger, and the dog is wearing a chain collar that weighs almost as much as he does, and growling at passersby. Is it the dog's fault? Probably not, but I'd still like to see it off the street! My grand kids play out there!

Whether or not it's fair, the breed has developed a reputation, and the reputation has encouraged the training, and the training has caused a problem that leaves innocent people dead or mangled.

Certainly you must realize that there's a problem, right? You're mistaken if you believe that the recent growth of the breed is due to trustworthy breeders who care about the healthy development of a breed of loyal, loving and beautiful dogs.

It used to be rottweilers. Before that, I think it was German shepherds.

It is a fact that some dogs are breed for strength, or size, or beauty, or whatever it is that the breeder is looking for. The human nature always wants to feel better than everybody else and that falls into the dog field as well. Too bad that bulls are the ones picked on.

It is the people that have caused this problem...too bad, I have met quite a few pits who would make wonderful family dogs - but no one wants to take a chance on them because of their breed...

Hopefully that will change in the future as more people become educated about them - and non-reputable breeders are not allowed to produce them.

Because people can make money off calling bulls evil. Bull battles, I forget what they're called, needed more profits, so they convinced people that bulls were evil.
