Some of the earliest signs of pregnancy you might notice are swelling nipples, distending stomach and morning sickness. However, all fertile female dogs have the chance of going through a "false pregnancy" after her heat as a natural part of the hormonal cycle. A "false pregnancy" has all the same symptoms (and can even have the same two month duration) as a real pregnancy. There is no hormone test to confirm a pregnancy because of the possibility of false pregnancy.
The only way to know for certain that your dog is pregnant is to take her to the vet about four weeks after she mated for the vet to feel for the small lumps of developing puppies. There is a small window of time when you can do this, was the fetuses will soon grow so they overlap and can't be differentiated.
Your next opportunity for confirming the pregnancy will be around six weeks, when you should be able to feel the lumps of the puppies. Also from this point on your vet could do an x-ray to count the puppies and check their development. The longer you wait to do this the more bones you'll be able to distinguish, and therefore predict the exact due date.

dogs do not get sessions, nor do they fall in love. you're humanizing your dogs. dogs wade through warmth cycles and journey the instinctual urge to mate. they do no longer comprehend that the top result's domestic dogs. certain, your dogs may be pregnant. they do no longer might want to lock on your lady to develop into pregnant, although that very much will develop the probabilities of the mating being valuable. Take your lady in to the vet and function a spay abort done once plausible. She might want to were spayed to commence with. There are sufficient homeless dogs interior the international. Darksong~

HI!First off do you remember roughly what day your dog bred, if so count 63-65 days and you will get the due date when themom will deliver. she will start to eat more just make sure she gets the proper protien/ calcium benefits ask your vet which food is good .she will start to gain weight , eats more, her teets will gradually start to hang and produce milk, when iots time for her to deliver have a box with old newspaper or old sheets if you dont mind washing them, nice warm place to put her box when its time ,also you can take her to vet for xrays to see if she is preg, in about a months time .if you have small kids keep them away from mom during her labor / have your vets number handy in case mom has trouble if she has diffuculy delivering you will need to rush her to vets GOOD LUCK

if she's getting fat, rub firmly on her belly and see if you can feel any "bumps" that could be puppies. she may be moodier than usual if she's pregnant. check her teats for coating or swelling. just to be sure, check with your vet.
