I have two labs and they love carrots. One digests them fine but the other has problems with them and chucks them up. Anyone have a better option (its the only people food they get)?

My golden retriever is 8 years old and her hips are starting to bother her. Right now, she is extremely fatigued and weak. I can see the stiffness in her hips, but I don't know if that's what's causing her to be so tired. My family can't afford to help her. What should I do?

I have a minnie daschund and she is 2 years old. I'm trying to cut back on the snacks and not feed her so much junk food because I don't want her to be overweight. If she is overweight she can have back problems. What do you do to keep your dacshund healthy? I keep her healthy but I just wanted to know some tips.

My grandmother is looking to get a dog. She lives alone in a good-sized house. She's in good health and goes on daily walks. She would need a dog that doesn't dig or anything like that, since she's a gardener. She wants a small dog that she could have in her lap. One of her main requests is that the dog doesn't shed much.
She would also need a dog that's okay with kids. She often has grandkids come over(ages ranging from 3 to 18).

Anyone have any suggestions?

I've posted a question before about my dogs ear infections and I've tried so much to help them heal. They just continue to become infected. Does anyone know if the food he eats cause this type of allergy? He is on large breed adult formula ProPlan.

Seriously folks, I have tried everything I can think of, and I'm really at wits end! I tried the water thing and only giving him water to drink 3 scheduled times a day (morning, noon and night) I have tried picking him up and carrying him outdoors to pee, he still squirts pee as I run to the door with him! I've tried putting newspaper in the crate ( I was doing this before I got his crate) He pees 10 minutes after I take him out and then bring him back in! This dog has been to the vet and he checks out fine, he has another appointment for this Saturday. Nothing is physically wrong with him. I just started scolding him for pooping and peeing, the pooping stopped, but the pee flows on!
Really, to be honest, I think he is doing it on purpose! When I had my old place, I let him roam freely (believe it or not, he contolled the peeing better!) then he started chewing up everything (despite his chew toys!) and I got the crate. We moved to a bigger place, he has reverted back to his old ways!

There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with his feet. It isn't like he is itching he just bits his nails. Is there anyone else who has a dog who does this?

I am looking for a great name for my new business painting portraits of pets. Do any of you have ideas for cute names? I am looking for something uncommon...not like "Pet Portraits", something totally original and memorable. I need as many ideas as possible please. Oh, and I'll mostly be focussing on dogs, but cats and other pets are OK. But mostly dogs.
Thanks for your ideas!

People from a street over are walking their dogs down our block at night and letting their dogs go in peoples front yards and not picking it up as required by law. Can I put something on the grass to deter the dogs but won't hurt them since their owners won't clean up?
