People from a street over are walking their dogs down our block at night and letting their dogs go in peoples front yards and not picking it up as required by law. Can I put something on the grass to deter the dogs but won't hurt them since their owners won't clean up?

Fill a empty 2 litre plastic coke bottle with water. Rip off all the labeling on the side and dump them around the yard. When the sun reflects the light off the water bottle the dog will turn away.

try asking your vet or local garden shop about getting some "fox urine". i have heard that it distracts animal from entering an area you do not want them to be in your yard.
