my Yorkie was house trained by the age of four months, though there was many days in which i just doubted that i could ever train the little fellow, you just have to be patent about it,remember that they have tiny bladders and will have to go potty more often than a bigger bread, offer your little one a piddle pad in many places at first, then work it down to one,a Yorkie is not to be left alone outside because birds of prey can carry your baby off.if your little one does make a mistake, never spank or yell,it can cause more problems into training and can even hinder it for good, just give a gentle, firm NO, when baby messes up and set the dog where he or she is suppose to go,if the dog does potty then a calm pat on the head and good boy, girl is enough, the whole secret to doing anything with animals is to stay calm,be a good leader, they will get it.

Yorkies are dogs that need a lot of time and patience. They are similiar to poms and peks. Treats are generally the way to go about training. Choke collars and clickers are mainly what it is involved, choke collar for commands such as sit, down, stand, walking on a leash. Clickers are more for tricks like shake.

same way as every other dog: patience, persistance and rewarding them with something they love, whether thats food, a toy or just affection
choke collars are not recommended EVER, but especially on a dog as small as a yorkie. they are cruel and can cause major neck problems. choke collars require a proffesional who knows what they are doing for them to be of any benefit to the dogs learning

CLICKER TRAIN! Go to clickersolutions.com or clickerlessons.com for complete instructions ... it is fun for you and your dog! I would NEVER put a choker chain on ANY dog esp. not a yorkie!
