yes,but only if they will weigh over three pounds as an adult,if they are too small they seem to have poor health,i enjoy my healthy four and a half pound Yorkie very much and feel good that his chances of being sick later on are slim due to his weight.the Yorkie is a very good dog to have, they are playful, loving and intelligent, great pals.

For the last time, people have to be stupid. Teacups are not a good dog to get. If anybody says they have a "teacup" any dog, then run. They will scam you and charge you like there is no tomorrow, ask any vet about a "teacup" dog and they will scold you if they're a good one. What teacups are is a very poorly breed dog (usually two runts of the litter) which makes a very weak and small dog which in all reality will last maybe if your lucky live half the amount of the legit Yorkie. So please get a regular Yorkie, they are good dogs if raised well , and will be quite a friendly companion.

Anything with the word "teacup" in the name is NOT a good pet to have. This is just the breeder's way of trying to make more money by playing into the cuteness factor. There is no real breed that is called a teacup yorkie. It is just a yorkie that came out smaller than the rest, or the runt. The breeder then breeds this runt with another runt to make more and more small babies. The runt is usually the most unhealthy puppy of the litter to begin with, and when you breed and overbreed several of them together, it just makes for a rash of unhealthy puppies. Not many people know this, and they think the little ones are cuter than the normal ones, so they spend hundreds of dollars on them just to have to take them to the vet and spend hundreds more dollars on them when they become ill; and in many cases they end up dying very young. Only irresponsible breeders will sell you a "teacup yorkie," so please don't be tricked into buying one.

depends on your lifestyle. i would generally say no as they can have more than average health problems.
if you are looking for a small dog i would recommend a cavalier king charles spaniel, but definatly think you should look around the internet to see what suits you

seriously do your homework about these cute little dogs... they can have medical conditions like hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), because they are so little and have no fat.
and i would say no if you have kids....
high maintenance.... but sweet loving dogs
