Cats - January 2007

I've had her for 5 years now well over 5 years about to be 6 years but she was just sitting on my computer chair and she's done this alot so it got me mad and i spun the chair so she would get off and then she did but she got mad because i saw her swinging her tail when she ran out of my room. I really didn't mean to do that its just thats my chair. I'm scared that she'll run away after what i did..she did run away once and i thought i lost her for good but she came bacc 4 days later! Will she run away?

brother to see when he could pick the cat up. The brother hesitated, then said, "I'm so sorry, but while you were away, the cat died."
The man was very upset and yelled, "You know, you could have broken the news to me better than that. When I called today, you could have said he was on the roof and wouldn't come down. Then when I called the next day, you could have said that he had fallen off and the vet was working on patching him up. Then when I called the third day, you could have said he had passed away."

The brother thought about it and apologized.

"So how's Mom?" asked the man.

"She's on the roof and won't come down."

I neutered my cat two days ago and on the phamplet they send home w/you it says if the cat licks the area in which the incision was done to put a cone around their head so they can't lick it. My questions is how long do I have to leave this cone on him?? On the phamplet it says to use shredded paper instead of cat litter for three days and not to let them outside for a week. I can't decide if I should wait three days or a week because of what the phamplet says. Anyone have any idea???

Here's the situation on my cat dilemna. Marshall finally came out last night and wasn't ill-just stressed. He purred, smiled, rubbed his head and body next to me, and wanted plenty of tummy rubs as promised. Last night he meowed through the most of the night, until I relented at 3:15 this morning to pet him, though that's a no-one, since I'm a light sleeper. He stopped after I left. Since Wylie hides now and Marshall was out, we tried Sweet Pea with Marshall. Twice, Sweet Pea was silent. The first time she looked at Marshall, and Marshall did the same. No movement or sounds from both cats. Just now, she didn't want to come out the bathroom, and saw him for a second. Then she walked away. That's odd. Marshall looked at her and saw nothing. What does this mean? She's not interested? Is it a good or bad sign? I'm baffled. Tomorrow my brother's coming over to see what happens with the three cats after we remove the gate after a week in my old bedroom. Anything to offer?

I have a question or two about cat food,
What's the best brand for cat food? I'm looking for one who can give my kitty all the nutrition she needs.
I already give her more than one brand, Whiskas, Purina, Kitekat.. but is there a better brand out there that would keep my cat healthy??
Also, how much should I feed her? she's about one year old.

And, which is better, dry or canned food, & why?

I want to take my cat with me 23 june 2007. But i am going to turkey and i read to on internet
they say if you take your cat turkey and when u come back to holiday in airport they take your cat 6 month quarantine is that true or not. i feel like my kitten is eating too much and is starting to get a little fat. I feed him dry food twice a day and 2 tablespoons of moist food a day. He is almost 9 months old. Im just feeding him basic dry food (ninelives, purina, etc), should i be switching over to a more "expensive" brand that is more filling to him?

What steps can you take to make sure the kitten won't have any abnormal health issues?

including both physical and mental issues.

Also, do you think judging a parent is a pretty good indicator?

What training do you suggest so the cat won't be nervous and shy all the time.

I have a tabby cat that is 2 years old and is from about 12 to 14lbs. She does not over eat and runs around alot I guess. I mean she is not hyper but she gets up and does stuff. She does like to sleep and relax though. I am just not sure if my kitty is fat and if I need to get her more active.

He had a scab there quite some time ago but it totally healed up but now this has popped up - skin is very pink. it doesn't seem to bother him.

I lost my beloved cat Bagheera on 22/11/06 and really have just been waiting for another stray to turn up looking for me! (all my cats have just "arrived")..I was just looking at my boys casket and saying "I miss you mate" when a little black and white face peered round the corner of my door! A beautiful skinny "felix" cat!
He is now sitting beside me eating some food...OK he may not be a stray, but boy does my house feel like a home again! He is welcome back anytime!

He was up to date with his injections, had his little ballies chopped off at the right time, feed with Science Plan biscuits and plenty of water, I loved him and looked after him like he was my baby. On Christmas Eve I found him dead in the garden. He had only been out for 3 hours. I took him to the vet and they checked him over - he hadnt been run over and he didnt have a mark on him. What happened? I miss him so much! Please no horrible answers as I am hurting so. I dont know whether to get another kitten? But he was so special I know I cant replace him but there is such a big void in my house now.
