They wouldn't just be in the garage they would go outside to and the garage is connected to the house and has heating. It has a little sitting room kinda thing in there to where people go and watch tv alot.

They are off a farm aswel and the farmer just asked me the other day because his cats have kittens all the time but he usually just drowns them. He's cruel.

My 16-year-old cat has lived primarily in the garage his whole life, and is quite happy. We leave the garage door open about 6 inches during the day so he can go in and out. He sleeps in a cardboard box with a lamp clipped to it. We use higher wattage bulbs in the winter to keep him warm. Just keep in mind that hair and dander will build up out there, and could be potentially deadly to the family member with allergies, especially if sweeping/vacuuming the area.

I suppose living in a garage with access to the outside world is preferable to being drowned, but... how long will it be before you get tired of visiting them in the garage and let them come in the house anyway? You might be lucky and the person with the allergy might not be allergic to these cats (something about the right kind of fur, apparently) My cats were all house cats, and a friend thought it was cruel as they are supposed to roam around, but I considered it more cruel to let them be mown down by a car, or bus. I think you really need to give this a great deal of thought, but if you think it's the right thing for you and the kittens, definitely get them both neutered!!

Yes, but are you going to keep them out there all the time? Two cats alone in the garage will be pretty wild after a while. Is the family going to go out there every day for a considerable time, and interact with them? It's not going to be much fun for the cats.
I must say, I too am allergic to cats and my vet told me that my body would soon acclimate to it. I owned a beautiful cat for 10 yrs and only had problems if I touched him and then my eyes.
There are medications for pet allergies.
Think about it before you commit to shutting 2 living creatures up in the garage for the rest of their lives.

As long as they don't get run over. How about not getting a cat. What fun is a pet that isn't able to be played with unless you are in the garage and yes you will for a while but soon they will get old and you'll play with them less and less♥ Just being honest♥

ANOTHER IDEA...

Most people who are allergy to cats, are actually allergy to the dandruff that the cat produces. Check with a local vet. They make a drop that you put behind the cat's neck about once a week. It will reduce (often end) the cat's dandruff, and end the allergy. Then the cats can live indoors.

I wouldnt put the kittens in a garage because who knows what they could get into. They could get hurt easily if there is stuff around and a cat wouldnt have a wonderful life if all of its time it was kept in a garage.

GET REAL

why adopt baby kitties if you are just going to keep them outside?
why bother?

Did you know that the life expectancy of outdoor cats is ~5 years compared to ~15 years for indoor cats.

Although people believe cats are not social, they do like to be around their "family."

Don't do it....it's cruel and dangerous for the cats.

Yes, it is done often by many people. However, if you can't make them part of the family, why have them? Just remember to get them fixed because our neighbor's have outdoor, garage cats and they didn't take them to get spayed. Now there's about fifty cats on our street. Gross!
