Don't risk it. It's hard on the cat to travel. Cats like to stay in familiar surroundings. It would be better for you to find a friend to watch it for you while you're gone.

First off, many countries have strict requirements on bringing animals into thier countries, so if you are serious about taking the cat, check with the Turkish laws to make sure it is alright, also Turkey is a very dangerous place when it comes to cats, I was there in 2003 and it was over-populated with cats to a point where you couldnt even sit down in a diner without cats all around your feet and in your lap, it was very sad. Anyways, you can always ask a family member to care for your furry friend while you are gone, or you can check out doggy/kitty daycare, where youre animal will not be caged, but still receive ample ammounts of attention so it will not feel deprived. Anyways, good luck with your travels, and if you end up anywhere near Marmaris or Aksaz you'll have a good time, they have fantastic rugs and merchandise you can purchase! Enjoy!
