All kittens are like this. I call it the terrible twos. My kitten runs after peoples feet, bites my hands when I handle her and sometimes tries to bite my nose or put her paw on my lips. They grow out of it though.

No, not a brat, just a kitten. They are all pretty much like this when they're young and energetic. Mostly what they want and need is attention from you, and lots of exercise and playtime. Christmas time is almost irresistible to cats because of the tree to climb, the piles of gift wrapping to jump in, and all the new and different things in the house to smell and play with. Make sure you either put away or get rid of anything that might hurt her, like poisonous plants (poinsettias for instance), and then just try to spend a lot of time with her. Also make sure she has toys to play with. As far as the power cords go, I have one that used to do that too, and you just have to keep at it. When she's playing with them or doing anything else you don't want her to do, keep saying "no" in a firm (not loud) voice and moving her away. Then distract her with a toy. She will probably settle down a bit as she gets older but some cats, like some humans, want and need a lot of attention and exercise. You can also use a spray bottle of water and squirt her with it when she's doing something she's not supposed to, but obviously that's a bad idea around electricity! It is possible to train a cat, at least in some situations, but you have to be persistent, consistent, and gentle. Good luck!

No,she is just exploring and investigating things as all kittens do. You may have to put some bitter apple on the wires - you can get that at a pet store.

In another year you will wonder where that "bratty" kitten has gone when she just becomes an eating, sleeping and purring machine.

All kittens are brats, but most do grow out of it, as long as the behavior hasn't been encouraged, like biting or playing rough. Most kittens are destructive, curious and can be mischeivious...

All kittens are like this. She'll only be a brat if you label her as such!

No. She's a kitten. Nearly all kittens act like this. It's not bratty. It's being a kitten.
