I have a round worm problem in my yard due to adopting a new siberian husky in September - he was a stray so not dewormed regularly. On a strict course of Quantel Dewormer for all pets in my household for next 6 weeks.

However, just realised my cat is pregnant (SHOCKER) have given her a half a tab before knowing - is Quantel safe for pregnant cats?? She must be approximately 5 wks along as that's the only time frame I can figure that she could have disappeared with her "boyfriend".

ANY KNOWLEDGE BE GREATLY APPRECIATED IN STOPPING ME FREAKING OUT! :)

The cat was spayed 1 month ago, and she is now starting to look like she could possibly be pregnant. Could it maybe just be weight gain from being spayed?

I have three cats that need liquid meds, but it is a real challenge. I tried to incorporate it in their food, but they always know it's there, and just don't eat it. We have tried holding them with a towel wrapped around thier body for our safety, but they usually manage to spit most of it out. I wonder if it would work if I got it on their feet and just let thier normal grooming instinct take over and let them lick it off. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

This is my cat Cornbread. What kind of cat is he? He has a big fluffy tail and long hair except on his head.

I was petting my cat and found a strange white oval bump on his head. I think that it might be a tick, but I am not sure if ticks are white. I tried to look closer, but he does not like to be probed. Does anyone know what this may be?

We are moving to a new house which is only 2 blocks away form our old house. My cat is an outdoor/ indoor cat. We adopted him last winter from a shelter, he was a stray and he was very unhappy being caged up in the house all the time. He never leaves the yard and just lounges on the lawn. I am afraid he will get confused when we move as to what house he has to come home too. Should I try too keep him indoors at the new house? Or will he find his way home if he trys to run back to the old house? I love him so much and I dont want him to get lost.

My cat had a few fleas bothering him so I gave him a bath w/ flea shampoo, didn't work. A few weeks later, I put flea powder all over his body but not on his face since it smelled kinda weird. Now he has NO fleas on his body but all over his face and neck, he's even started to get little sores around his neck, behind his ears and on top of his head from scratching so much. I bought a tube of Revolution and put it on him today. How soon will it start working and is there anything else I can do, he seems so distressed and I feel so bad.

Every now and then I notice some blood in my kitty's stool or on her bottom after she poops. She had worms months ago and got treated and I took her to the vet only a week ago and was tested and she's negative for worms and got dewormed. Could she just be straining or should I worry??

My 13 year old cat was having trouble breathing and not eating, so I took him to the vet. He was diagnosed with pneumonia and put on antibiotics. He was running a very low temp--97--too. Back to the vet tomorrow for blood work to see if his kidneys are working.

Since his breath was bad and Fred has history of tooth problems, the vet checked that out as well. No tooth problems, but vet said that bad breath could signal kidney disease.

He drinks a lot and the litter box has suddenly become very smelly from his frequent trips.

Could kidney failure cause pneumonia? What are the symptoms of kidney failure?

I have three cats and in the past (3 different cats) I used lemon, orange and lime rinds to repell the cats from climbing up the tree. However, those cats actually ATE the rinds. Should I try this method again OR does anyone know what to do now?

I will keep the ornaments to a minimum on the tree and very few on the bottom. Before the tree is set up next month, I need an idea.

Help!

She stinks up everything her behind touches. It smells like a dirty booty continously. I tried bathing and baby wipes, but this would have to be done all the time. I have had several cats and never this problem. She is a beautiful sealpoint. What do i do? My vet said get use to it.

I have a cat that is about a yr and a half old and yesterday when he was using the litter box I noticed some blood in his stool. We found a stray a few months ago and she had intestinal worms very badly that we had treated. I wonded if he could have possibly got them and if this is a sign that comes with it?

We have recently moved house (only about 5 minute walk from my old house) and my cat keeps disappearing back to the old house, I've been back twice and rescued him, he's gone again now for 3 days so I will go round tonight and see if he's there. How can I stop him from doing this?

Yesterday my kitten got hurt really bad by our gazelle glider.
My husband didn't see him run under it and he got squished pretty bad. All day he wasn't himself, very slow and dazed looking.
Today, he's better. But he's favoring his right front paw...
it's cold when the other one is warm. Is this an indication
of a break? He doesn't meow when you touch him anywhere,
like my older cats do if they have a scratch or bite or injury.
It's hard to tell with this guy, cats have a very high treshold for pain.
We will call the vet tomorrow, but I just want to know if anyone has
ever had the "cold paw" thing happen?
Thanks,
Lisa and the wee Ivan.
