Yesterday my kitten got hurt really bad by our gazelle glider.
My husband didn't see him run under it and he got squished pretty bad. All day he wasn't himself, very slow and dazed looking.
Today, he's better. But he's favoring his right front paw...
it's cold when the other one is warm. Is this an indication
of a break? He doesn't meow when you touch him anywhere,
like my older cats do if they have a scratch or bite or injury.
It's hard to tell with this guy, cats have a very high treshold for pain.
We will call the vet tomorrow, but I just want to know if anyone has
ever had the "cold paw" thing happen?
Thanks,
Lisa and the wee Ivan.

If the paw is so cold, it could be that the blood supply to the paw is totally blocked... Like when circulation is cut off to your hand for a long time, and it gets cold.
I would call the vet immediately, or take him to pet ER, because I am worried he could lose the paw.
I am NOT a doctor, so please don't panic, but better safe than sorry.

The blood flow has been cut off to his paw.
Don't wait for the appointment, take him to the ER vet right now!
The longer you wait, the damage will be done to paw from the lack of blood.
More than likely, his paw is broken at the very least, and could possibly be shattered to the point of tearing an artery which will stop the blood flow to the paw.
Take him now, don't wait for an appointment. You're running the risk of him losing the paw if you keep putting it off.

Maybe the cold paw got injured enough that the blood flow to that paw may be restricted or not flowing at all. Get it to a vet.
