I know some will advise to let her in - but she would like to be in all the time and i think cats should be outside alot as it is healthier for them (and the owners.) She also needs to be outside to poo as I don't think I should have to give her a litter tray when she has a garden. She cries all night and is driving me mad!

I just found a baby kitten last night and I have no idea how old it is, what the sex is or anything. I've had cats before but never this young. How do you find out the age and sex of a kitten and is it okay to feed him cow's milk?

I just got this cat a few months ago- he is seven years old and is a strictly outdoor cat- I built a cozy house for him out of cedar but he doesn't seem to know it would be a good place to sleep.

I have a four year old neutered tom cat who lives indoors. He's one of those big black and white tuxedo cats - very strong, very active, with very little fat hanging down in the "apron" under his stomach. He is very happy and healthy, and looks big but not overweight. The trouble is, he is 19lbs! I keep seeing fat cats in the newspapers who weighed only a few pounds more. I've got him on a diet of wet, high protein food only (although he loves dry food, especially Iams). Is he in trouble at this weight?

Shes out all day and in at night. Before if she needed out she would jump on me and move about me until I woke up. I know shes not doing this now, I'm a light sleeper. I dont want to put her out at night as its freezing and cant bear the though of a litter tray all over again. Any ideas? Could she be sick?

Yesterday we got two six-month old cats, Rodney and Jasmine. Both from different litters but get on very well together. They were fine last night but have started fighting today. Does anyone know why and if/when it'll stop??

Hi

I have a 1 year old cat who is quite nosy! I love christmas so am already thinking about buying our tree ready for the 1st December. Should I buy real or artificial with a young cat? What is the safest?

I have a sweet little cat (female) who moved in with us after years in a shelter, and she is really settling in. However, whereas she used to love going out to roam around the garden, lately she doesn't want to go out, and snarls at us if we try to 'help' her out, and even if we touch her when she's standing by the terrace doors. Last night I think I found the answer. A huge male cat sat right outside the door serenading in a rather unpleasant manner. He's been marking his territory all over our garden, and I think he's scaring my cat! Last week my cat actually pissed by the door too - something she NEVER does. I don't know what to do - I'd love to be able to let my cat out - and atleast make her feel that her garden is her territory....(atleast inside the house....)

I have a year-old male neutered cat, and recently got a 3 month old unneutered (he will be neutered next month) male kitten. I'm confused as to why my older cat starts standing on the kitten and kneading on his body, and then grabs the scruff on the little guy's neck, and continues kneading away. It almost looks like some mating ritual, which is strange because the older guy is neutered. The little guy puts up with it for a little bit and then protests and runs away. This happens at least once a day, while I am home. I have no idea what my older cat is doing and why. Anyone have an idea? I know male dogs mount each other to show dominance, is that possibly what my cat is doing?

I was seriously wondering this as my boyfriend and I got a kitten and he was born in april so he isnt quite a year old yet, but anyway, I got him a cat stocking (which is filled with toys) and gave him about 6 at the same time to see which one he would like best. He played with them for about 30 seconds then walked away. Is too many too much?

She is 9 weeks and the best pet Ive ever had and Im not even a "cat-person". But yesterday she swallowed my fiances Pearl Earring and I dont know what to do. Shes eating and drinking fine. She doesnt seem to be acting any different than usual. Still a hyper hungry kitty! Shes pooped twice scince yesterday and the earing is very expencive given to her by her grandmother so ive been lookin for it obviously, but still no sign of it. anyone have any idea how long I should give it before i start to worry! And like Ive said shes acting 100% normal. Any help would be useful. THANK YOU!

When he does walk he drags one of his legs. I wanna know if He needs immediate attention or can it heal on it's own?
His tail is also broken. He got out and got into a fight, obviously.
Please tell me what you know, I'm very concerned about him and my carpet.

We just got a seven-week old kitten. We also have a fat and rather disgruntled 14 year old Siamese cat. Per advice that we've read on the web, we're quarantining the kitten in a "safe room" so that the two cats get acclimated to each other slowly and gently. The only problem is that the "safe" room houses our two computers and their accompanying power strips and power cables. Does anyone have any ideas or experience with kitten-proofing power cables?

I have a safe cat collar for my cat and if she gets caught on something I realize she can break away but is their a weight requirement?? I have a 5 month old Singapura and she weighs 1.75 pounds so is she too light to cause the collar to open if she was in trouble or would she be fine? I tried searching this on the net but no luck - any idea?
